I need a bass lake! (Skagit - ish)

Hey guys!

I am headed out this weekend for some late summer/early fall bass fishing. Due to a very expectant wife, this very well may be my last expedition this year, so I want it to be worth it! I am headed out Sunday afternoon/evening and it should be mid 70's, partly cloudy, humid, with the slight potential of a light rain. All that said, what would your lake of choice be within the Skagit, Whatcom, north Snohomish area for the best odds for an outing?

I was thinking of hitting Big Lake, as I have heard good things about it, but I have yet to fish it, and that makes me nervous. I am intrigued by Mud Lake, and it is small enough that I may be able to hit it and something else if it is a bust.

I have one day and I need to make it worth it. Any ideas???

Lots of Skagit/Whatcom bass fishing reports from 8theB8. Look up his reports, you should get a very good idea of where you want to go based on how you want to fish. His reports are very detailed.
