Furuno's new technology with accu-fish shows the length of the fish with a number attached to the arch and has a bottom discrimination feature that shows mud, rock, sand, or gravel bottom. The 1670F cost about the same as the other brands and comes with a 2 year warranty.

We are not benefitting the lake trout in Cle Elum by posting full reports. I only post snippets of info. Cle Elum and Crescent are winter opportunities with open water fishing we have nearby. There wasn't any snow until late Jan. on either and practically no ice.

What was the weight on that fish? The length and girth is impressive!

39" L X 25 G" X 25 G" divided by 800= 30 lbs 7 oz. We C/R all of our fish so this is the method we use without touching the gills. We usually leave the fish in the water in the net to measure but this one got her teeth tangled up, probably thought she had a hold of a big kok.
