Anybody with Spada lake/reservoir experience?

I am kind of psyched to be going up to Spada reservoir all day tomorrow with my son and a friend. Wondering if anybody has boated/trolled the lake in last 10 or 20 years?
This is an interesting place... it is a Snohomish county drinking water reservoir. Very tightly maintained regs. by the state. It was closed I'm pretty sure to fishing for at least a few years during 2005-2009 roughly. Now it is No gas, no inflatables, Selective gear, no keepers over 12" etc. etc. Personally I don't care at all. This means to me a 1600 acre lake that gets NO pressure. It's supposed to be a deep lake and to hold native bows and cutts. Plenty of tributaries that while you can't fish them, there is no restriction on distance to the mouths of tribs.

Anyway, if you have any memories of your experience on the lake, give me a shout.:bball:

My brother and I cast a line for a while from shore and picked up a cutthroat while we were on our way to grieder lakes. Didn't launch our plastic inflatables though. Where did you hear no inflatables from? I've been thinking about trying up there, but with the no inflatables thing I'm not allowed. The cuthroat was 13" so it went back.

I think it came off of a kayak paddler's group who had put up an online report of their trip this summer. They showed a pic. of signage posted at the lake.
We'll see what happens.

I have caught some very nice fish from there. Very strict on the regs, nothing in the water but the boat and gear, no walking in the water, no dragging your hands or feet and no fishing from shore. The last time I was there was with a couple guys from the PUD and even we got checked on several times. For the life of me I don't know why they let anyone with a boat on their either but then it's gubmint, don't have ta reason. My only word of advice is keep your car in site, lots of them tweakers up that there holler......:-" :-" :-"
