Northwest Fishing Reports

i'm looking to do a camping trip out to the potholes. not the resevoir, but the lakes. Does any one know of a good area to go? i'm looking to do some real camping. not looking for a campground or resort. No bathroom, drive down a road, find a good spot next to a lake kind of camping. I want to drive down a dirt road that possibly requires me to be in 4 wheel drive. Any help would be great. Any recomendations on places closer to western washington, but still on the east side of the state would be great too.

I know Soda Lake in the potholes area has an area when you can camp by the lake and little river or creek that runs from it. Not really sure of any other lakes around that area where you can do overnight camping.

Soda lake is the only lake where you have to pay to stay and camp ground is pretty well developed, picnic tables pit toilets gravel parking. But if you get a map of the area at the resort, it will tell you the roads and lake lakes with designated spots. Most are undeveloped sites, but you are not supposed drive off the designated roads, you will get a fine. But 1/2 the roads are only accessible to 4x4 vehicles. The map will also tell you the species in the lake
