:thumleft: Years ago I got a fishing pole that was the Fishing Rocket of it's day. Back in the 50's it was hard to advertise about the lastest miracle Fishin' tackle. Mostly just in Magazines. This pole is kinda cool. It has a little cup on the end and you push it down against a spring and it cocks. Then you put your lure in the cup pull the trigger and it shoots out into the water about 30 to 40 feet. It was sold by 4-5 different Companies under different names. It sold for $12.88 and now goes for $60.00 more or less on eBay. If you search eBay for vintage lures, you will find the Roland Martin miracle lures of the 20's thru 70's. They had lures that were like test tubes, so the fish bait would have a little home and not get eaten while attracting the big bass. Some sell for hundreds of dollars. So be sure to save the box or better yet buy 2.....one for fishin' and one for the kids school fund or your retirement! :thumright

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

I'VE tried and still own the banjo minnow but the only thing i managed to catch on it was a seagull, i guess it thought it was a dying baitfish, it just swooped down and grabbed it right out the water. i also did have a decent size bullhead catfish follow it up to the surface but no strike. they might actually work good with the dropshot method they do have good action. maybe i'll try that next time. but for now they are collecting dust in my tackle box.

Still working! Caught a 2.7 pound smallie on the 3 inch green minnow. Broke off a bigger one and caught some small rock bass on it.

All right! Anyone that fishes for bass that owns the banjo but doesn't use them, you are missing out! These banjo have worked for me ever since I bought them 2 weeks ago. Had one on last night that was 4lbs with a 4 inch banjo but didn't boat the fish.
