To answert Derrick-k's question on where I caught those steelehead: I caught them down on the cowlitz. Same with the silvers. I caught some kings there too but cant find the pics of those.

I won a custom rod back in my youth when I was 13 or so. I won it at a kids fishing derby at Wapato Lake(Pierce). The pole was made by Ron's Custom Rods. I love that pole and still use it to this day (17 now).

Only picture I could find. I had 3 more of the fish while holding it up but it was a nice one that hit a rooster tail in about 6 inches of water.

PS not my hand

Its not an impressive fish by any means but Im very proud if it because of the story that came along with it. I went clear to Heritage Lake, thought it was private cause I didnt actually get to Heritage, I got to a private pond...so bummed I went to blakc lake, assembled my pontoon boat, inflated the pontoons, and then spent 30 mins trying to remember how to tie a nail knot. I get the knot tied with a sufficient amount of leader.....go to launch the toon and realized.....i forgot the oars....grrrrr! So not to be skunked due to a technicality I wade out thigh deep, cast out and hook this little beauty......a 6" tiger trout....then I packed up the oarless toon and went home to pick my some up from pre-school.
