Trip to Baker Lake

Post by Hunter757 » Mon Apr 20, 2015 8:08 am

Well we drove up to Baker Lake to see the campgrounds and boat launch and get a feel for the area and what to expect. Very nice drive had a great lake side lunch with my family. They are installing a new two lane boat launch at the PSE launch next to the drain at the south end of the lake. It going to be a nice set up. the lake is very low but I would think they did this to build the ramps but?? Lots of stump exposed along the shore line at the north end of the lake. I did see some fish jumping all over the lake. There were a few people camping along the shore what a great weekend for that. Here are a few pictures.

Lakes pritty full for this time of year. An extra lane will help in the early morning chaos.

Norm, I have never been to this lake so was not sure if it was high or low for this time of year. It just seem to be low enough for them to be working on the new launch ramps. I figured it would be higher as to the lack of rain they would of held back more water. Anyway hope the extra lane helps out some.

Yea they started bringing it up a couple months ago because we have no snow. Hopefully they will not start charging a launch fee

Definitely low. This time of year it's usually low, but not that low.
