Can anyone tell me about the perch fishing on Flowing Lake near Monroe? I've been invited to a bbq next sunday afternoon and considered taking my boat and targeting perch for a couple hours.
Any advice or experiences would be great as I've never been there.
Thank you - Matt

I've recently picked-up quite a few perch on Flowing still-fishing nightcrawlers along the northwest side of the lake. Also a few on soft plastics and wet-flies.

If you are looking for slab perch, slow troll a skinny crankbait -- like a wally diver.
Small jigs and bait work fine, but most of the fish you catch will be dinks.

I've actually caught several trolling for trout in Flowing on wedding rings. Regular perch gear will get you in them though. Just like anywhere else some worms on a bait holder hook jigged right off the bottom on the edge of weed beds or in holes in the weeds will produce perch all day long.
