It's a chain of lakes up by Stevens Pass. Many of the lakes are only accessible by "fishermen's paths", which pretty much means you'll be bushwhacking. Good trout fishing in all. Got lost out there one time. It was a pretty exciting time finding the way back out.

I fished up there in the 90's. Very clear water.

Start your hike at the Scenic railroad crossing just past Index to the right side of the road. The river there is usually great for trout. We would always try the stream before going home from the hike. Lot's of choices of lakes to hike to and some can be easy and others can be bushwacked to without much problem. Have fun, Steve

Mav, that would be Foss River Road. Lakes in the chain are Malachite, Copper, Big and Little Heart and Angeline. It's been a long time since I hit those lakes, very good memories with the exception of the break-in to our vehicle parked at the trailhead. If you go I'd have someone drop you off as a car parked overnight is easy pickings.

I don't know...Just remember it as the railroad station and old parking lot ...Look for a road that turns to the rightand goes over a small bridge...Look it up on map quest. Good luck
