Id say a steelhead is a steelhead whether chrome or dark. The question is are steelhead going to be considered trout under this topic?

Trout are considered trout when they do not run to the ocean. On the Snake river you can catch metal heads they stock above the dams and when they are trapped they are then considered rbt.

Try this one on for size? 3/5/2009.

Boy of boy, you need some pretty small resolution photos to post it don't you. Still trying.

OK, 30", 11 LB, 6 OZ. Sorry for the blood, it took the plug down to the gullet and them some, and had to be kept.

Looks like this is the place to put photos of your 2009 trophy trout, so here goes nothing. I believe this 32"er is a cutthroat. Can anyone substantiate that? I got him at Hayden Lake in Idaho. Girth was about 21" by all the fishing formulas, Girth squared, times length, devided by 800, that puts him at 17.64 lbs Idaho state record is 18lb 15oz, and I got mine on ultralight and 6lb test line. YEE Haw.

I'm with you JW! That looks like a spawned out meathead! It takes hundreds of miles of running upstream to look like that! Let's just counteract those metal pics with a little trout.
