The Mount Rainier Chapter of the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA) is hosting its First Annual Kokanee/Trout Fishing Tournament to raise funds to assist in offsetting the cost of the Adjutant General Corp’s Regimental Ball in May. This will allow us to reduce the cost for the Soldiers, Airmen, family members, retirees, and contractors of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington who support the Adjutant General Corps.
The event will be held at Russell Marina (American Lake) on North Fort Lewis, Joint Base Lewis-McChord on April 15, 2017. Check in will begin at 6am with the fishing starting at 7am and lasting until 1pm. We do ask that teams have at least one military ID card holder on them to gain access through the base gate. This requirement is waiverable but those teams without a military ID card holder will need to attain a visitors pass from the JBLM visitor center (main gate). Those wishing to gain access without a military ID will have a sponsor assigned to them from the tournament and will need to provide the following documentation:
1) enhanced WA State drivers license or regular valid driver's license with another form of picture ID (passport, state ID, etc)
2) proof of current vehicle insurance
3) valid vehicle registration.
This is an outstanding way to support the Soldiers, Airmen, family members, retirees, and contractors of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington who support the Adjutant General Corps. There will be Concessions available as well as giveaways, a raffle, and silent auction.

The reduced early registration fee of $75 ends after tomorrow (15 March). After that the price to register goes back up to $100. There are still several spots available for anyone interested in entering the Tournament.

Re: Kokanee/Trout Fishing Tournament at American Lake
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason they are using an access site that requires military ID to get to? I just worry that the requirement of a military ID may cause a slightly lower turnout. Although I suppose those who are looking to support this group are probably doing so because they have family or know someone in the armed forces. Just curious! Hope the tournament is an incredible success, and to all you veterans and active military out there, thank you for your service!!
