Musky Fishing Educational Video

Post by Deadeyemark » Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:49 pm

Had an opportunity to fish muskies today with Mr Steve Jackson under the watchful eye of Chuck and Mr Steve Caromile all of the WDFW. I'm humbled to have been asked to participate in such a grand endeavor. An educational video on musky fishing! Also very lucky to have been able to catch a musky while Chuck was shooting. Actually, we caught three. Two on film and one after Chuck and Steve C had to leave. Best was a 39". Sorry folks. No pics. Chuck's got it all. Supposed to aire in Aug. I'm honored and a very lucky guy.
Thanx guys. It was a blast

I would really like to get together with a couple of you hot muskie anglers and do a video for this site. It would be very neat to have a muskie how to video.

Can't wait to see the video Mark. Keep us informed as to when and what channels you'll on. Are you going to bring a copy to the Muskies Inc. meeting?

When I know something I'll pass it along. Should have some good footage of the 39"er I got. Should have gotten the whole thing from just after the hook set to the release. We'll see.

Mark,

I just wanted to say great job to you, and Steve Jackson, the Manager of the WDFW for getting this video together for the state. We really need a good informational/educational video out there to help us promote this Muskie fishery. You are a fine Muskie angler, who I personally know is very caring about this species.

Yesterday, I fished Lake Mayfield with some other members of Muskies Inc. It was a beautiful day on the lake. Together we caught and released four muskies ranging from 38 to 42 inches!!! I also witnessed a "42 incher" that was caught and kept by a non-member. It was also a great looking, healthy fish.

We had the chance to talk with "fellow anglers" and pass along some information about Muskies Inc. and C-P-R.

All in all, it was a great day and a chance to spend time fishing with some great people who share a common interest.

Thanks!

In case anyone is interested, the musky video is playing on local cable channels all of this month. I don't know which channels but I'm told Comcast is one. If you find out which, let us know. It's also on the WDFW website under 'Wild About Washington' then click on the video stream format.
I also sent a copy to Mike Carey for inclusion on this website. We'll see what Mike does with it.
