This a question as old as the which came first the chicken or the egg. does color really matter when fishing dirty water like the puyallup or the carbon or any galcial river? here are my thought s I am a graduated fish tech here in the state and fish see differently then us in the water. but when fishin the puyallup I noticed that the color of corky and yarn doesnt matter I get the same number strikes and bump as any other color I try I did notice that the size or corky and snip of yarn do make a differnce and the placement of the cast. this is how I look at it all they see in muddy water like the puyallup or carbon all the fish see is the sihollute of the croky and yarn or just corky or just yarn coming toewards them and they just think its roe.... lets here some other opions on theis

I'm no expert, but my son was fishing on the Skagit yesterday and it was very dirty. He didn't catch anything, but the guy next to him caught his limit, and was using some kind of liquid scent - so if the fish can't see good, they can smell.

Color doesn't matter right now in the Puyallup. Size does. I have caught more pinks using the smaller corkies. The larger corkies have caught less fish for me. Sometimes I add scent to them, but have not noticed a difference. I think they are just curious and bite them and let them go.

color dosnt matter at all your "flossin" the fish anyway size of corky however does matter everyone catching them in good numbers seems to be using two small corkys and a 6ft or more leader. these fish arent bitting almost all fish i have seen caught have been hooked in the right side corner of the mouth hence the term flossin
