Epic Day

Post by Kockmandoo » Tue Feb 19, 2013 10:55 pm

I know it's not washington related but had a beastly day fishing for trout in montana. Nailed close to 20 fish including 8 over 18 inches!! My buddy got a 23inch brown!

Good stuff Kman! Garden hackles again?! When I lived in Mt. I dreamed about steelhead fishing on the coast. Now that I'm here, I realize how good I had it there!

Yup! garden hackles and rapalas. I lost a brown on the rapala that felt HUGE. Fought him for a couple minutes before he came of right next to the bank. All I saw was a brown flash.

The drive alone would kill me! I'd have to stop a few times to fish on the way. Those browns sure do look cool though, and I bet they're fun on light tackle.

Doo, those are some great look'in fish! Enjoy them while you can! I gotta make it over that way this summer, those browns are awesome apex feeders. I know in the summer they hit like a ton of bricks.
