Got to reiter yesterday and it was packed! No room to fish below the intake. so we fished above, lots of guys fishing and not a fish hooked. So we went down off the ben howard road and found a sweet slot that looked to hold fish. Got asked by some boaters if we had seen any fish roll in that slot, sounded like we chose a good spot. nothing for us, not even the 3 guides drifting past had anything. Beautiful day, felt good to fish though.

More or less same story this morning. Cleared out quick though, between the rude POS (read my report Grrrr) and the lack of fish.

It was packed shortly after I got to the water, with everyone asking the same thing. With all the rain there had been, where were all the fish?

By 11 there were only a handful of people left on the hatchery side that I could see, most all about a hundred yards down from the intake. The rest (about a dozen cars or so total) must have dispersed farther out.

Low was not working today. Hit the around the hatcheries for your best shot. High water cleaned them out and sent them to the trap.

Spent the day fishing the stretch around the rock. Saw 6 fish hooked 5 landed. 3 hatchery side and 2 hwy side. I went 0-1 threw jigs and spoons. No love for me today.

They are in there by the hatchery, I could see them from time to time once the sun got up a ways. They just weren't hungry much today.

Nope. I was three guys down from him. That fish was high teens and dime bright. Dude was throwing 8 lb line and couldn't turn it

Fished the high bridge and up to the bend today. Saw one fish caught from a drift boat right in front of me. Slow.

I fished in sultan from the bank and saw 2 fish caught before 6am. A bright chrome hen from the bank and the second one was a nice chinook from a drift boat. Then nothing.

I still have not caught a single fish out of a river. I'm starting to develop an eye twitch.

I figure I'll just keep going every sunday at 4 in the morning and eventually I'll hook up the dumbest fish in the river. Might take me a few years, but it'll happen.

This isnt the easiest time to catch fish out of the sky, wait till august when the humpies are in. You will feel like a pro.

When the fish cooperate and do hit its worth every moment you spent on the river. I only have Sundays to fish pretty much anymore. I make the best out of it. Any time spent fishing is better then chores at home.
