holy smokes pure native fish haha those are some nice fish, got some shoulders, have not seen dewatto fish like that in years no joke.
Regarding Barker creek lets just say I have some good news, I saw about 100 chrome coho jump within an a hour inbetween there and clear ck and I do not think they are headed for clear only prob is that I did not get any to bite though.

yeah good idea, hey you ever fished for these fish long enough to know what they hit when they go lock jawed like they are right now or just wait for rain? These fish are just mind boggling, jumping all over the place but not biting wow.

tbh we usually just use corkies. we go to the old chico boat lauanch and use cut pluggs and the chums strike them hard! in clear creek i caught a king this time last year with 3 salmon eggs on a # 1 gammy floating. clear creek is small also

Do the fish at tahuya often attack just corkies?

the flyfishers have good luck at the gauntlet ive never had any luck on anything besides corkies. at the mouth ill use black #10's or vibrax but up river everyone, including me uses corkies. oh and watch for the people using eggweights at the bottom of the line and mooching setup. they usually have no waders and are waist deep in the water
