Bobbers and float fishing and line, well sort of.

Post by Bodofish » Wed Mar 30, 2016 9:12 am

So I've been looking for some mono, fairly heavy, say forty to sixty pound test that floats. I know it's a big deal for bobber fishing, and it makes it easier to mend on the drift. I guess, I'm not so much looking for the poundage but more of the diameter of the line, like .024 to .030-ish. So I guess, what are you guys using and why do you like it? I've always been more of a braid guy but I'll be needing mono in this instance, visibility is a big plus too.

Once you choose your mono, you can improve the float properties by applying fly fishing line dressing to the top 30 feet or so.
