Seaguar Florocarbon leader
I was using 10# florocarbon leader by Seaguar in these low clear conditions. Yea lube you knots, be careful tightening them up. I do all that, but this stuff is garbage and that's where it ended up. I have had much better luck with PLine CFX Florocarbon. I am 5 for 5 on PLine floro and 0 for 2 on Seaguar and I am done with that stuff!!!
Re: Seaguar Florocarbon leader
I'm not familiar with P-Line CFX. I use CX on my spinning reels. CXX seems too stiff for spinning reels.Would you have an idea if CFX is more limber than CX?
I also have some P-Line C 2 1, but haven't tried it, yet.
Yes I used Seaguar again a couple weeks ago, and it's too stiff and balloons off a lot, it didn't use to a couple years ago when I first tried their InvizX line. I like 10lb for most lures.
I'm thinking of trying that sea stuff Bill Dance is expounding on his program.

Re: Seaguar Florocarbon leader
I've used Seaguar for years and have definitely lost some fish on it after it broke, always at the knots that I tied. I keep using it because I've hooked more fish on it than other brands (including pline). I think seaguar is a better product in regard to its minimal visibility in the water, but it is super sensitive to the burn caused by knots. I love the Pline CX on my spinning rods and from what I've heard, the CXX line is for baitcasters and not supposed to be used on spinning reels. The CX is super supple and thin, comes off a spinning reel well and casts better than other brands due to its thin diameter. The CX has basically spoiled me from trying any other lines for spin casting.
