The bass fishing forum has really gone down the toilet! I'm not enjoying this as much as I used to. Too much bickering and infantile horse s---! And I apologize for allowing myself to be drawn in to the fray. I really want to talk about and learn more about bass fishing, but we don't stay on the topic very well these days.

I miss hearing the insights of Fishnislife, gpc, bigastrout, and a number of others who have gone silent because of all the nonsense! Call me names or whatever, but I'm bummed and need a break until things get better. And I hope that they do.

ya, I've definitely changed from this last experience and are trying to go on with fishing. Im still waiting like you Cavdad for others to come clean as well. As long as ppl stop posting crap about me when I dont even post anything back, then I dont know how long this will take. The last week or so, I haven't.... or tried not to say anything that would be offensive or immature. Im giving this my all right now, so I need for the rest of them to stop this nonsence too. Plz ppl for the good of the site!

I hear you Cav but this post is now just another thread for non bass chat. As long as there are internet chat forums there will be some non topic chat. People come and people go but as this site grows it may get better or is may go south you never know.

All you can really do is read what you want and post what you want and leave the rest behind. "Goodbye" forum post tend to just add more to the fire.

Daniel I agree with your point, but I am with Cavdad on this one. I would post on here much more often, but also have gotten tired of somebody taking information the wrong way and attempting to start an arugument. Discussion is great, and is something I encourage. But for somebody to respond with I think I know what I am doing, I have done this a time or two. Forget it, it isn't worth my time. I am too darn old and have much better things to do than fire back with a reply on an argument somebody has attempted to start. Rather, I will just ignore.

It may be just me, but it seems that in the early season when everybody is humbled by lack of fish they are all eager to learn and asssit others. But now that the season has rolled on, and everybody has caught a few fish a few of them think they are KVD now. Sorry, but I haven't seen any of us on the FLW or BASS tour in the last 2 weeks.

this is rediculous. not what you said cav but what has happened to the bass section in general. it's sad that one person stiring the pot can do this to a great site...

Too bad people are leaving...if only temporarily. There has been quite a bit of informative posts I have read, and hate seeing this sort of crap happen. Unfortunately, it happens on public forums just about everywhere.

Something that pisses me off, is those threads I feel had the potential of being decent one's with people sharing experiences and information...but, for whatever reason they went south in a hurry. Now every thread I think that may be of benefit has turned into a b***h session.

I have not been on this forum long enough for my opinion to really matter. However, this is just a public forum...I have joined many and left many. Decent ones come and go all the time.

I don't know you from Adam, and you don't know me...but, I am sure you are a decent guy...maybe a little bit misunderstood, whatever. Whether it's a dry sense of humor, maturity lever...who knows. However I do know one thing for certain. You seemed to have pissed off a few people, whether intentionally or not. Now you're a target. That's life. My suggestion would be to lay low, fly under the radar...keep fishing, do whatever it is that you do but don't do it in these forums for a bit. At the very least...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP REPLYING TO EVERY POST WHERE SOMEONE HAS SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY TO YOU. It only fuels the fire, and only creates bigger problems in the end...for everyone.

Every thread I thought maybe...just maybe I could take away a little knowledge has turned into a bunch of bickering...it's getting old, relatively quickly. If I wanted to read or participate in that sort of stuff, I would hang out in the political forums over at gamefishin.com. I apologize if I am coming across as a jerk, but I don't beat around the bush. If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, and is steaming like a turd...chances are it's a turd and I'll call it.

My apologies for going off on a tangent...can we get back on track, as I am interested in learning everything I can. This site has helped me tremendously, and I hope to be of assistance to others at some point in time. I don't mean to be offensive or piss anyone off...but enough is enough. There's better things to talk about...like fishing! Thanks!

I'm done with the bass forum for a while too. I didn't think I would be at this point. Sorry to all, but I can't stand the kid who's stirring the pot and how he's trying to butter up and make himself back to what he wants to be after he lost all our respect. Best of luck to you all...

its really depressing that all this had to happen. i saw this as the premiere site. now i browse others more frequently. its sad one person can ruin something for numerous people. i hope things change, everyone comes back, and this turns back into a bass fishing forum. it was all funny for a while, but if i wanted disfunctional reality entertainment i would turn on mtv. good luck to everyone.

WOW !!! THis really really sucks! Im bummed... Im not going to be fishing very much at all for awhile and now I can't even get some advice from my threads anymore. Well I hope everyone doesn't leave becuause of one arguement because if everyone leaves ill go mad and start posting messages to my self! no I wouldnt do that but seriously this really sucks. Anyway has anyone been fishin for bass lately and if you have what have you been having success on?

Tread lightly Lyndon...if you and your buddy want to "chat"...pick up the phone. I'm not gonna sit back and let you two screw things up on here. I'm not sure your age (don't care really) but you guys have busted on the scene and "muddied the water" and frankly it pisses me off.

As for your buddy, I'm going to ignore him for a while. I would suggest he logout and just "guest" it for a while "under the radar", as was previously suggested. I enjoy this site and I have made some REAL friends here. Everyone deserves a second chance, that doesn't mean replying to EVERY SINGLE FREAKING POST!!!!!!

I'm going to continue to post my posts and ask my stupid questions and share my "big fish" stories just like I have for the past few months. I hope everyone else can put this little episode behind us and get on with fishin.

You don't have to intentionally try to piss people off. All he's saying, is that he's tired of you and your friend 'the1fishingpro" having your conversations on the internet in the forum. Like he said, conversations are just going to get threads sidetracked and ended, so if you want to converse amongst each other, you can PM each other or call each other.

I'm gonna go do some casting this weekend, catching is optional at this point. I just need to get out on the water.

Ya I know what you mean about just getting on the water. Sometimes even though you don't think that the chances are in your favor its just good to go to relax and take a brak. You never know you might catch a nice one. I might go fishing myself somtime this week but as of now Im going hunting tommorow so Im really excited!

i am quite ashamed that recent post's have made things so bad that people are leaving this site, but most recently all the bickering has been happening for no reason at all. most of the time one noname person who rarely is on the forums post's a hate message on a honest thread and everybody jumps in and starts insulting others and making problems for other people! just stop! everyone is preaching that they are the good guys and only helping to make this site better but all they are doing is starting fights and making matters worse, know i am possitive at least one person will reply to this and talk about how i am young and dont know anything or how "youngsters shouldent be allowed on this site" well the only youngsters i see are the guys who post hate mail and THINK they are doing good. to all those respectfull anglers out there i only hope the best for your fishing adventures and i hope i have the privelage to learn from you guys some day. aslo cavdad i am so sorry that things have escaladed to you taking a break but i hope you stick to this site and also i hope that we can finnaly fish lacamas or round somday because i would like to here your fishing story's and exchange knowledge with you
