I'd launch out of North Tapps County Park, its also free until May 1st.
Decent sized launches and plenty of room to park your rig, that is until summer hits. Then its a bit harder unless you arrive early.
Theres a good chance I might see you out there

When did the County park open? Usually closed till Memorial day.

When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.

I think Rich has it right for April,I didn't drift up there until earlier in the month. Been watching the water level rise nicely. If and when I go up there in the colder months,I got a buddy that is able to launch out of the private launch at Carl Jenks. Not sure of North Tapps regular opening time,I usually hear about through buddies. Every year seems to be different.

tnj- I'll be up there tomorrow but won't be there until late morning.
Good luck out there. Try to hit up some of the bridges, they've kicked out some decent bronzies for me,as for technique....well you know me. I don't have much in bass skills. skeeter knows his stuff. I think I get more accidental bass hookups when I'm musky fishing. I know, its sad....now stop laughing (lol)

You also might be able to find some largemouth. I've seen them but in all my years have never caught one out of here. Its a small population but they are caught
