Craft: Ocean Kayak Pro Angler 15
Truck: Tacoma w/two kayak racks on top and a trailer hitch.
I'm new to kayak angling, but not new to kayaking or fishing. I live in the Mukilteo area (8-2) and the Skycomish is not far away. I'm available evenings, every other Friday, and most week-ends.

Deep Six
I've been experimenting with different ways of trolling from my kayak. Since I don't have downrigger's installed I was thinking of trying a deep-sixed deep diver. Has anyone had any experience or any luck with this type of tackle or set up? Will the deep diver add enough motion to my Hoochie or herr...

Re: Fly fishing in winter?
Tim, Lakes and rivers are great, but don't forget about the big pond, Puget Sound. I was tossing Klouser Minnows and Sand-lace imitators just this morning in area 9 at Picnic Point park. You can catch Sea Run Cuts most of the year by wading in the Sound and fishing the tide change resident Coho and ...

Where is the parking area for the HWY 2 side of the Skykomish (accross from Rieter Ponds), is it off of Fir Rd, or is it farther down?

The hatchery is easy to get to. From Hwy 2 in Gold Bar turn left onto Rieter road. Stay on Rieter Rd and then take the first paved right that you come to. There is no sign.
