I'm thinking about picking up one of these for whenever I rent a boat, I'm sick of divers. I imagine they would handle well in sm...

My Dad does. Its the way he's been doing it forever, nobody taught him different. If it works for him, it works.

First Time On This Forum In A Long Time
Wow, I haven't been here in a good while. This place is bringing back a few memories. I really haven't been fishing much in the last couple of years, which explains my lack of presence. I just thought I would check in, see what everyone is doing. I see that some familiar people still post here.

Re: Tacoma Narrows
Yes, incoming tide is best. I've caught one sea run cutt once at Owens beach, it was during incoming tide. A simple nightcrawler did the trick. Worms also work great for flounder too. As for salmon, I don't know.

Re: New to Seattle..have Puget Sound questions!
Hello, I'm moving to Bellevue in the next few months. I'm moving from Sacramento, CA where I'm a big time Striped Bass and Sturgeon fisherman/ I was wondering if bank fishing in the Puget Sound is any good? What will I be fishing for? I have no idea how the fishing works up there. Also, how is fish...

Re: Any weird or unusual pets?
4 foot Ball Python, 9 inch Pacu, and a few other caged critters that aren't really weird. Bearded dragons, parakeet, ect. I'm thinking about starting a reef tank one of these days, I've been doing tropical tanks for 5+ years now. A cold water reef tank sounds awesome, natetreat. I could make my own ...

Re: Why did the chum cross the road? (video)
Jeez, it seems like every news station is so fascinated with this story all of a sudden. It was on the front page of AOL and Yahoo, and I heard fox news had a short story on it. Some tackle companies have posted this video on their facebooks too. Why is everyone taking interest in this now? It happe...

definitely one of those times where "Size Does Matter" still hard to believe there are these Bully type fishers out there? [crying] I'd just start casting into there gear and crowding them and see what happens.. that's me though "Size Does Matter" and Age plays a big role too in the intimidation ga...

I've always liked hp laptops. Built in webcams, good for skype. They are pretty reliable. I've never used a dell though. I hear positive things about them too

Toxic Algae Down, Waughop Lake Reopens To Public
For everyone who fished Waughop: The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department released a surface water advisory Wednesday (Oct. 12), reopening Waughop Lake at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood. Toxic algae in the lake has significantly decreased, said Bridget Vandeventer, communications and community r...

RE:"The Special People" Of craigs List
(300th forum post  ) Yeah CL is a wierd place. It has its "too good to be true moments" and its "you'd be lucky to get a dollar for that" moments. I just skim through every now and then just for the heck of it. What I find the most rediculous is when people try to sell their luxury yachts fo...

Yeah, you're right about the bait. I guess rock bass are cool if you don't really care what you're fishing for, since they bite so instantaneously. If you don't get a bite within 15-20 seconds, they're not there.

RE:What freshwater fish would you love to catch?
Trust me, rock bass are nothing special. There are millions of them all over American lake. While fishing for perch today, I probably caught two dozen of them in 20 minutes. They are little thievs too. I blew through a can of worms in like 30 minutes because of them.

RE:'Don't let your children become hookers', says PETA....
Well lets see, I hooked a few rock bass today at American lake, I "dragged" them through the water. They all sped off as soon as I put them back in the water, completely ok. I don't think my dog would be so full of energy after being dragged behind my car. Just when I thought peta couldn't say anyth...

Shore/Public Fishing At Lake Tapps?
Im thinking about hitting Lake Tapps for bass. I have no boat. Can anyone tell me where there is some nice shore access? Or maybe boat rentals? Also, can anyone tell me where there is any nice shore fishing for bass near Tacoma besides Tapps? I want to hook into some bass but like I said, no boat. T...
