I fly fish, bait fish, all fishing. My main point will be that in any culture there is always going to be two extremes so I am comparing and contrasting the fishing culture. I of course am going show people like me who fish all ways and get along with all fisherman no matter who they are.

When I see something like that I literally feel sick. Even if I catch one and cannot release it for some reason, I bring it home fillet or at least clean it and give it to a family we know if I am not able to smoke or eat them.

Wasting fish is sicking.

I love using if you can find them good old Colorado spinner. Light so a split shot or two and seems to work well for me.

A tip for you. When you open a new jar do not peel off the seal all the way also when taking seal off do it slow so it doesnt tear or if it tears do it does little. Leave it attached to part of the rim. When you put the lid back on make sure seal goes back down around the rim like when it was sealed...

My guess is to just guess. Maybe try a different color for each kid. If one works change for all. Planted rainbows aren't to picky. But experiment and maybe let each kid pick their own.
