Much better trip this weekend.
I just under 10" and one 6" that I would of thrown back but he was hooked pretty good.

I think it is a realatively shallow lake-- no deeper thatn 25 ft or so.

I got one for father's day as well. I think it is the 2200. Works pretty well as far as I could tell, but I only used it for a couple of hours. You may get some motor interference if it is to close to the motor-- might depend on size of motor too. Does yours have the "side" fish finding feature? All...

Rod Storage Ideas

Need some help storing rods during fishing trips. I've got a 16' alum with three bench seats. Curently I just lay the rods across the seats, between passengers etc... This works jus tfine, but it seems a little cluttered. Any idea where/how to put rod holders? How well do those portables that attach...

is there any good catfishing in this area? I live near Lake Desire; have never seen any cats pulled from there.

On an easy day yesterday-- perfect sunny afternoon, no wind at all....
I launched from the ramp near Rainier Beach HS and went across to Mercer Island and back. Didn't do any fishing, but it worked out fine.

Flatfish? Can you get them at Joes?
Should I use a leader as well or jus t go off the main line?
My trolling motor has speed increments of !0, 25, 50m75 & 100 -- I assume I want to stay somewhere around 10?

Trolling Help

Hello All,

I need advice on the proper way to troll for trout; never done it before today.
I hit North Lake and trolled end to end with a rooster tail. Sometimes used weight, sometimes not. Got one nibble and that was all.

:d/ Excellent. Just what I needed to hear. I'll probably get a second battery to make for a longer trips.
I'm not sure what 54# thrust translates to on the water-- no experience with these types of motors and not much info on the web, that I could find.
