RE:Adding a boat deck?

I'm going to have to blame that running thing on Keith. You know when you're standing next to someone and something happens and they do something or run and you think to yourself, "do they know something I don't?" That's what happened. :-" Thanks a ton for volunteering to help out and hooking me up ...

RE:Adding a boat deck?

I bought the boat, too good of a price to pass up with trailer included. I was hoping to get a response from you E. Next time I'm out at my brother's place with the boat I'll try to get ahold of you and pick your brain as to what some options might be. Thanks.

Adding a boat deck?

I have the opportunity to buy a 15 foot fiberglass boat with bench seats for a good price that will fit my short shaft nissan motor. The bench seats that are on it look like a 2 by something sitting on a box. I've been toying with the idea of buying it and taking out the bench seats, adding a deck, ...

Great motor! Hundreds below retail for an almost brand new engine.

Am I asking too much or is it that no one needs one right now?

RE:Ice Reports...

Went to Eloika yesterday with a friend. We tried in front of the public launch and then down past Jerry's in the first bay. Three perch for the day. Any tips would be awesome, still beats the heck out of work! We were using a swedish pimple with a dropper rig about five inches down with a powerbait ...

Here's a picture of what you guys are talking about. I've been told they are a Grass Pickerel. Don't know if it solves it but hope it helps. Confused the crap out of me when I caught it but a guy that lives on the lake explained it to me.

Selling my tackle on-line?

I'm thinking about selling my tackle on-line. Just getting an idea of how much interest there would be in buying some of this stuff. The picture is just a sample of what I make. Different colors can be made. Let me know if I need to learn how to make some other things as well. Always looking for sug...

RE:longshaft on a short transom?

Is it that you can't use the long shaft. I've read on other boating forums that long shafts can be used on short transoms but you give a little bit of speed up, and not much. I'm trying to learn and will definetely go with the short shaft if I can, maybe I'll just have to wait until the right one co...

longshaft on a short transom?

I am going to upgrade my outboard next spring on my 14' Valco and am thinking about a 15 or 20 hp motor. I have noticed that a lot of these motors that are used have been longshafts. I know you can use a longshaft on a short transom. I've also heard that you give up some top end speed because of the...

Lake Roosevelt perch?

I keep hearing and seeing all of these guys with huge lake roosevelt perch. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share where specifically these perch are hanging out and what kind of lure/bait they're being caught on. Thanks for the help and advice.

RE:Going deep for trout.

Maybe your right. I just know in our short 8 year fishing experience on Roosevelt we have yet to catch fish below 15 or 20 feet. We're just starting to get alright at trolling Roosevelt but we've had pretty good luck and it's always been in the top 15 feet. Another thing is that during the hot summe...

RE:Going deep for trout.

I fish Roosevelt with my brother a LOT and we don't fish for trout below 15 feet. The fish we mark in the 20 foot and below mark are usually inactive. We've tried fishing down deep where we are marking fish and putting every lure we have in front of their faces with no luck. The reason you're not ma...

non-lead jig

Does anyone know where you can purchase a non-lead jighead. I tie my own feather jigs and have had a problem finding the jigheads without lead, if they even exist. Loon Lake requires non-lead jigs and buckshot which I had used to catch perch. Looking to buy some in the Spokane area or maybe online. ...
