spinner blades
I read somewhere that nickel blades are a neutral flash and don't show up as well as copper or brass.

I thought the word "cogitate" aptly described me. I'm an old man. I do most of my best fishing between my ears as rest in my recliner.

break-ins and alarms
There have been reports of break-ins on the this forum (and others). I'd like to ask those who know the details if the vehicles had alarms and if so were they effective? Or even better yet, if someone knows of a break-in that was averted by an alarm system. I'm thinking of installing an alarm, but t...

A good way to adjust your tension is to put the weight you usually use on the end of the line and loosen your tension until the weight barely falls. This is a good starting point.

RE:Lamiglass XMG 50
Brian,
I lived/fished in Alaska for 40 years. 18 of those years I was a guide.
I used mostly Lamiglas rods with no problems.
I’ve seen more fish caught on Lamiglas rods than you will probably see in your lifetime.
If you have a Lamiglas that you think is garbage I’d be happy to take it off your hands.

If I read your post correctly, you are not going to try to repair this rod.
If that is the case, do you want to sell it?

RE:Lets talk eggs!
Back when I first started fishing for salmon/steelhead I used to just sprinkle a little salt on them and leave them till I like the texture and place in a bag with borax. Since that time I have tried several of the pro-cures, but was not satisfied with the time of processing or the results. So I hav...

RE:Tribal Netting Schedule
Netting is done the same on mostly all rivers in Wa State. They zig zag the nets up river.the fish would need a GPS unit to navigate through them.If you drive down to the First Ave Street Bridge they have the up todate netting schedule posted on their readerboard. That way you can see all the fish an...

The way you have stated it, no one should fish a hole if you are fishing at the top of it.[confused] Just how far down stream do I have to...

In the 1950s some places in Washington were planted with Montana Black Spot Trout. I haven't seen one in many, many years, but that's what they looked like.

RE:agree or disagree with flossing
I can say this to everyone though, if your catching fish the way YOU fish then good for you. I have to agree with pooh, but as long as it's done legally. Obviously if you are purposely jerking every couple of seconds then your snagging, but if your waiting for that bite feeling and then you set the...

RE:agree or disagree with flossing
superrrr long leaders beyond 4 feet Doesn't this definition makes all fly fishermen flossers?#-o No they use a different presentation. Don't take this as an endorsement of flossing, but explain to me the difference in a fly fisherman using a weighted line, (sometimes adding a split shot), a 7 foot ...
