Re: Duck Lake - Friday Harbor
Duck Lake used to be an awesome lake for huge largemouth. We had the Region 6 warm water biologist attend one of our club meetings last summer and he said a few things about it. I cannot make direct quotes but I can tell you the gist of what he said. He said, Duck Lake used to have huge bass in it. ...

Re: Bass Replica/ taxidermist/ NEED HELP!!!
I caught an apparent oddball sized smallie last year and had the same issues. There is no form even close to the dimensions of my fish. I got sent a link to a guy who does great work: http://www.davecampbellfish.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I don't know if you have checked him...

Re: Alabama Rigging
If the thing is legal than there should be no moral issue with using it. I got one I tried a couple years ago. Do not like it and it just hangs from my garage wall now. I used five 1/8th oz. jig heads and 5 Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper baits when I tried it and snipped off the hooks, at the be...

Re: Looking for a Drift Boat
Because I posted on how I thought I knew where there was a boat for you. Called my Dad and it turns out he gave it to my nephew while he was in between drug treatment. After getting the boat from my Dad he got back into drugs and sold the boat and trailer for $300. 16' Alumaweld. Good boat that was ...

Re: Recruiting to a local South Sound bass club
Are any of the tourney's opens or are they just for club members? fishnislife Great question! Presently, none of our tourneys are opens. We, just recently, started talking about having some opens. At the point in which those talks commenced, our applications for our tournaments were already sent in...

Re: Recruiting to a local South Sound bass club
Thanks Mike! I was hoping to reach out to some people that may not know all that much about us, or any club for that matter, that may have had some interest. Another thing that I forgot was that we, generally, fish two person teams. Not uncommon to fish solo for a tournament or even the season but, ...

Recruiting to a local South Sound bass club
So, I am putting this up here for two reasons, one is trying to get some more people involved, that may be interested, in tournament fishing for bass, and the second is, yeah, trying to build membership some in the club I belong to, as I think it is important to the strength of our club. I belong to...

Re: Size of bass question
Makes sense. If you catch 20 a day and fish 50 days a yr, you can take out 1000 bass. That's a lot of fish to eat, but I'm sure homeless shelters would love them. There are limits and size slots set forth by the Washington State Department of Fisheries. You may want to check them before you start k...

I keep my pass in my truck and Bud knows me at Spanaway so it is not an issue and when I go to Tapps I just hold it out the window and show it to them.

Between Little Goose dam and Lower Granite, name?
Not sure if this is where this goes. Is there a name for the pool on the Snake River between Little Goose and Lower Granite? I am not being lazy, I actually have searched and it does not really seem like it is named, or at least from what I could find. I think they call the area above Lower Granite ...

Re: Chehalis River Bass
Shhh, this is a secret. Actually, back in like 2009, there was an article in the Fishing and Hunting News about this. Not much pressure and some very nice fish. I do not remember the month this article was in but I do remember that it was the issue that had Tag Watson on the cover with an 11 1/2 and...

Re: LETS TALK BASS !!
I got another tip, this one's for photo's while fishing alone. If you do not have a camera but always rely on a phone for picture taking then I guess this may be a waste of time. I always carry a camera. I see a lot of pictures posted out there and I used to do it, as well, of the fish in one hand t...

Gear question - drop shot spinning reel: In the spring, I treated myself to a G.Loomis GL2 821S drop shot rod and I want to your suggestions regarding a "good" spinning reel to match the rod (been using an old spare Daiwa Crossfire 2000 reel). Enjoyed catching those smallies at Lake Tapps this year...
