Re: WDFW closes sportfishing statewide
I hope they are right about the early April date, but I'm not holding my breath (haha?). This is driving me crazy as I was fishing 2-3 days a weeks, and now I've been holed up 2 weeks now (started early). I feel in the long run we're doing the right thing, and there will be lots of fishing to come. ...

Housebound, What are you Tying
My wife and I have been isolated for a week now. I've been texting with my son who's learning to tie bass flies. He's getting better. I'm done with house chores so I'll share some of mine soon. Anybody working on anything fun?

Re: Good Rivers to fly fish for trout
I used to fish the Green up in the parks years ago, any of your flies plus a few wets should get you started. I don't know the seasons over there any more. There is so much to choose from in this state, bigger and open like the Yakima or small and brushy, like the Foss and Tucannon I like, just depen...

How long does a open scent bottle last?
I have an older Atlas Mike's lunker lotion and a couple pro-cure water soluble scents. Realistically how long does it last once open. I keep them in frig, and in cooler, but inevitably it gets left out in the boat, or carried in my vest all day. Thx I date my worms, I guess I should do these to. How...

I Found a lost Catch Record Card
B. A. from Kennewick, I found your punch card, with Klickitat Salmon marked on it, on the lower Walla Walla yesterday. Contact me and we'll see about getting it back to you, otherwise I'll send it in at the end of March.

Re: New to fishing in washington
I'm new to fishing SE Washington for steelhead and salmon the last couple years. I look at lots of maps and google earth, then go and drive/scout the rivers. All year long. It's a lot of fishing and learning, and your bound to meet some people along the way. We made several fishless trips but then f...

Re: Disappearing Salmon Scam
I've only been fishing the snake a couple years now. I've lived here 30 years. I would miss all the other fishing opportunities and family time the dams supply. I do fish salmon steelhead and my answer is easy, I'll pay a little more, build more hatcheries, and let us catch a few fish.

Thoughts on Waders for River Fishing Winter
I have a pair of LLBean breathable waders, they are about 9 yr old, and for $130 have been good I think. I'm having problems patching the inside knee seam anymore, and the edge of the patches are now wearing/splitting. The knees front have held up well. I do a lot of brush beating with pokies, and c...
