Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?
I fished from Boeing (112th) up to the community center today. No nets, and few fish. Saw an occasional roll, mostly dark with a few chrome (very small chrome). Didn't see anyone catch anything, except this little tyke. little_fish.jpg Almost embarrassing to be fishing for salmon and catch this, an...

Beautiful Sockeye you got there! Still need to get that off my bucket list. Don't think a Lake Washington season is ever going to happen.

Very nice job. The worst part is hauling the fish up from the shore up to the bank. The catching part is so much fun though.

Re: Smokers vs. Non Smokers at a dock
Some teen has been complaining about the smokers at the location where I fish. I put it out as a form of common coutesy, but the others smoked because it was ok to smoke there. If it was little kids, then yeah, i would definitely distanace myself from them.

Smokers vs. Non Smokers at a dock
Some docks clearly have signs that says no smoking and some dont. So what do you guys think about people complaining about people smoking at docks where its ok? whos right and whos wrong? I put out my cigarette if its bothering people near me or try to smoke far away out of common courtesy.

Re: Battery powered impact wrenches
I have a Craftsman 1/2 inch impact wrench thats been in use for several years now. I work in the auto service industry. If your truck lugnuts and boat lugnuts are torqued in the 80 ft pound range, then that gun should work for you. The package that they sell with the 2 nicads are garbage. Pick up th...

Re: Illegal Reports
I saw some people that were leaving a dock because the game warden had a talk with them about releasing trout caught on bait and releasing them until they got the 5 they wanted. Some people just don't read the reg book well enough. The reg book can also can be complicated for some to comprehend, so ...

How to protect the paint on jigs from chipping?
The mighty Columbia is unkind to many shad darts and chip off the paint with every cast. Should I use clear coat finger nail polish or is there some other kind of material I can coat the jigs with to make them last longer?

Oh man, I blew it. Hey Goonmatic, wire 20 bucks to Zimbabwe for a tip on what bait to use. I got an email saying they are holding 1,000,000 USD from an inheritace. All i have to do is send money first to get my money. haha

Re: gama salmon egg hooks
Upon further inspection, I had pinched the barb removing the hook from swallowers. I ddi the finger nail test and it dug right in. I went 5/6 on a brand new hook 2 nights ago. I just need to be more proactive and retie knows and change out hooks.

gama salmon egg hooks
I just had a terrible time with my hook sets last night and had a two trout spit the hook. The hook I was using probably had hooked almost 20 trout already and I use pliers to get the hook out. Was it just a case of bad luck or I just need to tie on a new hook often?
