Re: Facebook salmon conservation group
It's not my intent to discuss the merits of the group, only to spread awareness of its existence. The simple matter is, every situation you partake in, you can learn something from. Some are not as articulate as others, but that doesn't invalidate their frustrations, nor does it make their opinion o...

Facebook salmon conservation group
Hey all! I thought I'd jump over here and invite those who haven't heard of this new group on facebook to come over and join a great cause. It is called "PNW Anglers Preserving Fisheries." This group has stemmed from the facebook page eastern washington fishing, and has grown to over 400 members in ...

Re: No triploids? & very few "jumbo's"?
Yeah, ironically, a majority of the wdfw employees also think the resource is being, and has been poorly managed. It's unfortunate because it seems like the top dogs in the wdfw are always politicians instead of conservationists or outdoorsmen/women. Until they get someone on that throne that apprec...

Re: No triploids? & very few "jumbo's"?
Hey all! I know I haven't been here in a while, but I just got settled in at Pullman to begin classes in May, so I finally have a little down time to cruise the forums a little bit again. As a former WDFW employee, I saw this topic and my heart sank a little. thought I could provide a little informa...

Hey all, just a quick update, I was granted active status on the transplant list, so now it's just a waiting game. I've also been accepted to WSU, so I'll be getting an apartment and moving east of the mountains after I get called in to surgery, and recover. Otherwise, not much else has changed. I d...

Kitsap salmon public access
Hey all, Just picked up some gear for salmon but having a difficult time finding public access. I visited minter creek at the bridge near the hatchery, but didn't realize I needed waders, which are currently in storage in Pullman. Been trying to find a good access point within an hour of bremerton s...

Re: Easily accessed saltwater fishing near Kitsap County
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to check those places out. I went to look at a pier in Silverdale today on Dyes Inlet. It looked pretty decent, but when I was there it was low tide, and the section that looks best for fishing is also a marina, which doesn't have any kind of railings on it. Did...

Easily accessed saltwater fishing near Kitsap County
Anyone know of a decent public fishing area on the saltwater near Kitsap County that is easily accessible? Thinking like the Mukilteo ferry dock. I am willing to travel an hour or so, just looking for sole/flounder/bullhead, ya know, stuff that's easy to catch with worms or frozen herring. Thanks!

Re: State loses contract to operate two fish hatcheries after report of sexual culture
As a former fish hatchery specialist for DFW, I feel it's very important that the public know that hatcheries are not being run the way the hatchery managers WANT to run the hatcheries. The hatchery managers are very burdened, and hamstrung by the folks that budget and run the DFW. Make sure we are ...

Where'd that new guy go?
Good evening/morning all! As I stared at my computer screen jonesing for some good fishing action on another insomnia-laden evening, I got to feeling a little guilty for kind of disappearing from the forums, and the Northwest Fishing Reports scene in general, and thought I'd stop by real quick to ki...

Re: 'stay-on' button
Which browser are you using, Amx? I just got back home from dialysis, was away from my computer with the forums closed for well over 6 hours, came back, pulled up the bookmark, and was still logged in. I am wondering if it's a browser issue rather than a forum issue.

Re: Camping/Trout Fishing Lake for Family
I believe Flowing Lake, due to traffic, gets fished out very early in the season, and I do not believe this is one of the lakes that gets multiple stockings to keep it good. Always prefered Blackman's Lake to Flowing lake, and they are very close to eachother.

Very strange. Do you have cookies enabled? I've been logged in since 9 or 10 this morning. Closed the window multiple times and haven't had to log back in yet.

Re: lake index
Why do you think they should make it the way you want it if you won't take the time to learn how to use the site properly? This is why I can't be in HR or customer service. People that want everything done the way they like without putting any effort into it at all irritate me. You obviously haven't...
