Re: Questions about catching baitfish in Puget Sound
Most of the Sabiki rigs I have seen have four or more hooks on them. I am fairly certain the limit is two hooks per line here? And only one line per person on the salt? Something to be aware of.

Re: Smelly Walleye?
And don't forget fish, um, 'relations'. Certain times of the year they are just 'dumping' an amount of bodily fluids in the water in the hopes some of it will 'take'. Other times there is a die off. On the 'wet' side there will be a great number of floating Stickle Back bodies along the shores, amon...

If you can post a week or so earlier than the event happens I believe you may have more volunteers me thinks. Post with it if you need any gear too. Hope your event went well!

Re: Riffe lake launch current water level?
My wife and I go 'lure scrounging' down there when the water is really low and have always been able to launch, but it is a long steep back up to get down there!

Re: Question about hook holder?
I have some without hookholder's built in but just hook it on the base of the first guide. NOT THROUGH the guide itself, just to be clear. That or some part of the reel.

Re: Baitcaster Reel Recommendations $100
Well, that was what I was going to recommend... That said, they were a Diawa reel with the Cabela's name on them. When I tried some I went both ways from $15 Chinese off Ebay to a more expensive one. What I ended up liking for price and function was the Diawa's in the $60-$100 range. I bought five ...

Re: Panfish Jig Fishing
My first thing I try is usually drop shot, then jigging. I will keep switching up combo's until something works. I have had days where nothing worked then 'boom'! Hit the right combo/color and it's on! I have all kinds of jig shapes and sizes as well as colors of powerbaits and scents I will try, or...

Re: Okuma Kokanee Aveon Combo Product Review
I had (have) two of the Okuma Kokanee rods and they really suck! I mean, I only got to fish with them for a couple months before they got hit and the last section broke! Had to sleeve the last section of both rods. Oh! Before I hit them (they were together) and broke the top sections in half? Awesom...

Re: North of Falcon: A Dismal Failure in Co-Management
The WDFW and The Tribes have been working with each other and using and working with science to set limits, check fish returns, and check water conditions for a whole lot of years now. I have lived and fished in Washington my entire life and can see the improvements, concerns and efforts of the WDFW...

Well, to play the devils advocate, I didn't really see anything in the reading that convinced me there was a "failure" or 'diabolical plot'. Mostly I see 'We don't like it'.

Re: Stocked Trout Fishing
First thing is, it is fishing. Sometimes nothing works. There is a local lake that is stocked I have fished over the years and I have been skunked many times. With stocked fish sometimes you can try and match color and size with what the WDFW is feeding them, if they are newly released, to get a bit...

Re: Lake Washington??
This comes up every now and then. You can bowfish carp in most lakes. Lake Washington included. You have to be careful with some (Greenlake for one) as people and the Parks people get excited about someone with a bow. I had a woman at Greenlake ask me if I was "Shooting the pretty fish". I told her ...

Re: Confused
Also book talks about a fast decent device for all bottom fishing? You can make your own if you wish, but the new ones are adjustable for depth and they don't poke a hole in the fish's mouth. I have one I use in deep lakes and have watched fish swim off on my Panoptics after they were released at 1...
