Re: Sculpin pattern
Brother. The Jigmiester here. I hand pour a series of extremely realistic sculpin and goby baits from 2.5" to 4" long for smallmouth bass and walleye. I have some lure demo videos posted on my Jigmiester Custom lure's facebook page, but if you like feel free to contact me at 509-424-3427 and ask for...

Re: Panfish/crappie rigging options
Hey Bazz. Panfish are my speacialty, so sharing a few tips with you is right up my alley. For general panfish/crappiepurposes, a 5'6" ultralite rod like a quantum Micro lite or a Okuma SSt rod are perfect. I like a green colored co polymer line like Izor 4 lb test or my favorite line, Mc Coy mean gr...

Re: crappie spawning time.
Bro. Angling Archer hit that info just right. Generaly, I look at the lilac trees to blossum during the crappie spawn and water temps to be around 63 to 65 degrees and approaching the full moon in May in Northern Latitudes. When the water temps are above 52 degrees, I look for males in slightly shal...

RE:A differant way to fish tubes, (The Boob Tube rig)
An old timer showd me a similar trick using tiny Wazp brand cork/balsa finesse bobbers inside of a tube bait to float it up off the bottom about 15 years ago. I used them with Jerry's lures Duzit tubes on Moses Lake at night for walleye and we killed them! The pre drilled hole in the bobber allowed ...

RE:Winter Bassing?
Racfish. Catching bass in the winter can be a daunting proposition, but they can be caught. As for hibernation, they don't as much hibernate as the cold water period slows down thier metabolismg. Largemouth Bass tend to feed most frequently in water temperatures above 60 degrees with 72 degrees bein...

RE:SCENT do they actually work?
As for scents for Salmon and steelhead, I think its huge! Last year at Drano lake fishing for steelies, we were on the water for a good 4 hours and had only one bite. I had a hunch and added mike's glow gel to my purple shrimp and my fiancee had 5 hookups in 20 minutes, landing 2 fish before I could...

Steelhead: Rigging dyed shrimp at Drano lake.
52. That is the number of Steelhead both wild and hatchery fish my fiancee Pam and I caught in 2009. 29 keepers with our biggest being around 17 pounds. That is not the biggest steelie, but for us it was nothing sort of amazing because I am a Bass and walleye/panfisherman. A good friend showed me th...

RE:Bait Fishing (w/ dyied shrimp) for Steelhead
I have heard this question asked a lot: How do you cure up and rig up dyed shrimp/prawns for steelhead? I am lucky... a very successful steelheader showed me the ropes and last year my girl and I landed 52 steelhead, with 29 hatchery fish and in one day last August had 19 fish at Drano. The biggest ...

RE:Walleye Lakes in the spokane area.
Hey Ben. From my point of view, The closest, most consistant fishing for walleye near Spokane is at Hawk Creek on Lake Roosevelt. If you do have a boat you can also put in up at Fort Spokane and head up river due East, and fish with Chartruse or brass coloured double whammy spinners and crawlers wit...

Slab crappie secrets (on custom minnow Jigs)
As the rule goes, sometimes matching the hatch means loading the boat on any given day. Not so when it comes to fishing for Black crappie. They can be so finicky and color selective that trying to catch a few can be tough during the summer months. I have found several awesome Crappie jig makers that...

RE:Lets talk jigs
Hey brother. I LOVE flippin' Jigs for Big Bass. The fella that taught me how to flip loved to use a black and blue 5/8 oz STanley Lures flippin jig with an Uncle josh black pork frog. I tend to prefere the silacone skirts more than rubber because they hold up better and don't rot over time like rubb...
