Re: Question regarding June 1st opening
It is Not open to Salmon at all this 2016-2017 season from the looks of it. It would specifically state SALMON: the season open for them, then the rules if salmon were open on the river. Thank You... Saves me a phone call to WDFW today... Looks like I am driving to the Sky or Skagit :) (yes I know ...

Re: An interesting find about the nooksack river---
What I find interesting is we have groups trying to shut down hatcheries for all the "harm" they do. But those same groups are doing nothing about gill nets in the rivers which do far more harm, especially when the nets are just left in the river. There's one under the HWY 9 bridge on the Nooksack r...

Re: Steelhead
Welcome Brian, I am just west of you in Marysville, also need to get out and find my first steelhead. Building a new rod right now at Greg's just for steelhead (ok not really just steelhead but it was an easy excuse to build a new rod). I have a couple weeks off coming up and plan to hit the Cascade...

Re: Vinyl boat wrap
If you're doing just a basic white any vinyl wrap place can do that easily enough, and there are several in the Tacoma/Olympia area. Then you can decide if you want your manufacturers logo printed onto one of the while panels or applied after. You can even buy a roll of white wrap and do it yourself...

Re: Source for replacement screws?
Thank You Greg from Gregs Custom Rods told me just hit up the hardware store. But I will give those guys a try. I think in a couple of my reels I am going to switch to Boca bearings, at least in my Symeter.

Re: What rods?
These guys are awesome, they may or may not have something in your price range but very much worth going in and having a chat, and they have casting classes ect. http://pacificflyfishers.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Greg's Custom Rods in Lake Steven's may not deal as much with...

Re: More politics in Puget Sound fisheries management?
The problem is who do we trust? We've seen what the EPA has done to rivers and they don't seem to care about ground water contamination, I won't even get into what they have done for emmissions... A lot of us do our small part, I'll pick up garbage when I fish and pack it out. But when you have 10 p...

Re: More politics in Puget Sound fisheries management?
That is 100% right, there should be zero netting on our rivers (and they are our rivers too), and no netting within a mile of the mouths of said rivers. So if they want to net, fine... But you'll do it with everyone else. Getting tired of seeing fish dumped on the sand bars. As far as the polluted w...

Re: New Smoker
This is one reason I went with a Traeger, you get smoke over a broader range of heat and the temps are more consistant in the cooking chamber. BUT it does not get as low as I'd like, though they do have the cold smoke kit for it that I'd like to pick up. I had a Brinkman bullet smoker but it was so ...

Source for replacement screws?
Does anyone know if you can buy reel screws for a specific reel in a pack or do you have to buy them one at a time? Two screws on my Abu SX40 were pretty dang tight so the heads are now kind of chewed up. If I have to buy one at a time no biggie, just be nice to have a spare or two on hand. I didn't...
