Well some not so good news for cutthroat fishing that I heard……..
Prior to putting the kokanee into the lake.. the tribe was netting the lake and shore line in hopes of getting rid of the predator cutthroat fish!!!!!

I fished area 11 Saturday. Started at 3-tree at sunrise, released a resident. Moved over to Pt Robinson.. nada... moved up to dolphin pt and released another resident..

I have not seen that data, just the dates they net. I have been up there on a Monday and the fish taxi was dumping fish into the lake?? I thought to myself “there was no way they got their broodstock in one day????” I was told they are dumping hens into the lake because they are the only ones making...

Interesting - definitely a smaller average size this year. The 6 I got in the river probably averaged less than 5 pounds each - a couple were under 4. I have brought home 16 fish from Baker lake this year and only 3 have been bucks....????? All the rest have been small hens with net marks. I feel s...
