Re: A Bait & Release Question On Lake Roosevelt
I personally wouldn't try that argument with a game warden. Seems like something they could clarify easy enough though. I've emailed questions before and got clear cut answers in writing.

Re: indiscriminate gill netting on Lake Spokane/Long Lake?
Wow, this is a fantastic warm water fishery. Little bit of everything. Honestly, what could they be thinking? This lake is also the only reason I get a Discover Pass, I may not do that now. And what about the big trout Avista has been stocking? If these gill nets are taking them out as well as every...

Re: Suggestions for 10 yr old beginners dying to catch a fis
What are they using? I'm not familiar with Lake Washington, but you ought to be able to toss out a little crappie jig under a small bobber, or a float n' fly rig and catch something. Or a single PowerEgg with a #12 size hook and a slip sinker rig to fish the bottom. I don't use any of these methods ...

Re: Harassing members on report posts
I completely understand where people would want to post a report but not disclose the location. I still appreciate the tips on gear, water and weather conditions, etc. I have one spot I'll never post a report on since it is a spot someone showed me and asked me to keep quiet. Even though we were cat...

Re: Skookumuchuck river
Needles on the riverbank, man that's tough. There's sketchy stuff around here, but I think I would seek out confrontations if people were leaving needles. And that's definitely not my style.

Re: Harassing members on report posts
I've seen these rude comments a lot on "secret" reports. Just goes to show how entitled we are as a society these days. Funny thing is if you click on the name of the person whining chances are they've never posted a report themselves or added anything to the forum.

Guys like that don't get it, never gonna get it, and don't care. It doesn't matter what you are into, there's always that guy.

Re: Along the Spokane River, best place for Tenkara fishing
Are you looking for trout or smallmouth bass? I found a couple of spots between Flora Rd and Stateline where the smallmouth action was great. Basically anywhere where you can find a good current run and fish below it. For trout, not so sure. I did catch one in the sweeping deep corner off of the roc...

Re: Bass Fishing Lake Washington
Better than me, the only things I know about Lake Washington is that Tom Green swam across it and WDFW banned bass fishing in it last year due to salmon runs.

Re: "Legal" stocked fish
In the Spokane River where I like to fish we have a selective gear, catch and release only fishery to protect the native redband rainbow trout. Well, all the same rules apply to the smallmouth bass (and pikeminnow for that matter) they consider invasive. I'd rather catch smallies anyway, and you wou...

Re: Petition for Open WDFW/Tribal NOF Meetings
I signed, heck I figure the worst the could happen is I piss off WDFW enough to check my license for the first time in my life. Maybe catch someone fishing worms at a selective gear lake I like to fish (Medical Lake). Not only do they bow to the tribes, they don't even enforce anything else that I'v...

Re: Here we go again!
So the tribes can net whenever they want, regardless of if it's their day or not. WDFW won't or can't enforce. Tribes can report whatever they choose to, WDFW won't or can't enforce. But don't forget about all of the posts on here about snaggers and poachers, car prowlers in the parking spots, that ...

Re: Boating Safety on local rivers
Yep, my thought is even the greatest swimmer can get knocked out during a capsize. You don't need the life jacket to swim, you need it for when you are incapacitated. It's like a seat belt in a car, nobody plans on needing to rely on that either. But they save lives all the same. Best wishes to the ...

Re: Political ads?
I still say Flutie.
He won the Heisman the year I was born.
He kicked the only successful drop kick extra point in an NFL game in the last 75 years, and even Bill Belichick smiled.
I'd love to hear a Trump or Hillary fan give me two better reasons to vote for their candidate than mine.

Re: How To Fish A Float N Fly
Float n fly is what I hammer the smallies on in the river. One morning last year I caught 17 in just over an hour before work. Also does work on trout. It's tough to fish from the kayak though so I've gone away from it this year unfortunately.

This is just the first one I found, I haven't rifle hunted in years but we all always wore orange/camo jackets similar to this. Breaks up your pattern and makes you obvious to other hunters. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Mens-Base-Camp-Fleece-Blaze-Jacket/1224106.uts?productVariantId=385487...

Why would they run any ads in WA anyway? Not like we're a swing state.
