Re: Float tube
Amazing it's not gone yet. I've seen posts about people stuck on the bank and this is a perfect opportunity to get out on the water. Bass, trout, panfish, muskies, you name it. I use my tube all year long. It's the only way I fish. Hope someone picks it up. Good on you for your efforts.

Re: First bass fishing setup
I've been fishing from a float tube for about 20 years now...only way I want to fish. I can afford a boat, but I just don't want to deal with one. Lots of opportunities out there for catching bass from the tube. Limits me at times but I catch fish and it just works for me. Good luck out there!

Re: Duck Lake - Friday Harbor
A buddy of mine has property there and fished it hard for two days about 3 weeks ago. Never touched a bass. I agree with the others...used to be an amazing lake. We had some really good days years ago. Sad.

Re: Long Lake (Kitsap)
Very weedy. Think weedless lures. I know of a guy that does ok from the fishing dock tossing Senkos and grubs rigged weedless. The colors you mentioned are fine. The dock can get crowded. If you don't mind wading, head to the right, as you're looking at the lake, down the trail until it ends (just a...

Re: Crankbaits
I prefer natural in anything I throw. Doesn't matter whether its cranks, spinnerbaits, jigs, or plastics. For me, it's just knowing natural colors are just that...and I have confidence when I throw any of them.

Re: Crankbaits
AMX summed it up like sickbayer said, lol. I have one style and color I won't disclose that just works for me....always. Otherwise, all just depends on what body of water you are fishing. Some lakes I fish, I can't throw one...too weedy. Natural colors work well. I will say I have done well in the S...

Awesome! Goes to show that you don't need the $500 Loomis NRX rod and $700 Diawa Steez reel to catch bass. A Barbie rod...who would have thought

Re: recommended lakes for Bass fishing??
Another vote for Trout Lk. Every time I fish it, I hook up. Haven't caught anything huge, but it is productive, and it's just a nice lake. Have fished Steel as well and did ok. I don't fish that area often as it's out of my area. Maybe check Doloff too.

Re: Bassin' in the float tube !!!
I use float tube fins so I can put them over my old tennis shoes. I've heard guys using scuba/snorkling types tho. We get around just fine with the Caddis ones and have for the last 15 years
