Re: Looking for Snohomish small boat advice.
I have been launching at Cady park every time. I can run all the way down to i-5 if I need to. you can't get too much further up with a prop it starts to get really shallow after the mouth of the pilhuck. The farthest I have been up is to the bottom of Douglas bar and its really skinny water. There ...

New Smoker
My amazing and beautiful wife gave me a Masterbuilt digital smoker for my birthday this weekend . I have been using a Little Chief for 25 years and it has just worn out. I did a batch in the new smoker this weekend (Chinook, Sockeye, Laker and humpie) ...... basically cleaned out the freezer. I thin...

Re: skagit river bank fishing
Yes
Mid way up the bar. Plunk a watermelon coler spin n' glow on a 3 way swivel. Put a 18" dropper to a 4oz pyramid or sandclaw sinker. Sandshrimp for bait. Cast 1/3 of the way across the river and put it in a rod holder and wait for it to bounce. Fish on!

Gardner road off of hwy 20 is great spot. Just take a right on the road and follow it to the end. There is a boat launch and. Several 4x4 trails that will take you to a great gravel bar.

Re: Where to launch prop boat for pinks
I am taking my 12' smoker craft up to the Skagit tomorrow. It's a good one for that and the Snohomish is good from the mouth to the area just below crab bar. Snohomish is closed above the hwy 9 bridge till next weekend. Drove past rotary park in Lowell and saw a bunch of fish rolling.

lake Wenatchee sockey
Thank the fishing gods lake Wenatchee is opening this week. My family planned a weekend trip camping there and I was disappointed that I was dry docked for the weekend. Now that they are opening the sockey I have something to do. I read last year's reports and looked at the GPS Hotspots. Looks like ...

rigged hoochie storage
Anyone come up with a cool way to store rigged hoochies and bucktails? I use a foam roller for my kokanee rigs and don't care for the dirt and stuff they pick up from the boat.

I am running a 12' smoker craft. The tide for Monday looks decent. I think Everett is too far for me.

Tulalip bubble
After an awesome day in Neah bay Sunday I still have the salmon itch. Want to try the Tulalip bubble for the first time but I want the nearest launch. I know Everett is the safest but the Marysville one looks closer. My boat is a 12' smoker craft. Does anyone run to the bubble from Marysville launch?

Neah Bay.
Leaving after work on Saturday for Neah Bay. Going to fish the green can for a few days and i hear they are doing pretty good on the kings and there are humpies all over. Going to give the brads cut plug. A good try besides my go-to spoons. Anyone had any luck up there with them?

Omak cutthroat
Going over to give omak Lake a try for the first time next weekend. Going to run my downriggers. Reading Daryl and Dads guide service posts it looks like king fisher spoons are a good bet. And i see ace hi flys with smile blades are a good choice. Are ther any other suggestions? I will be getting a ...

Re: Kokanee pin reel
This one is a no name copy of the eagle claw ice reel. The drag sucks, gets really sticky but is awesome on tge rigger for trout and kokanee. I think i am going to get a real eagle claw and try it for big Cutts on omak lake.

15hp honda bf15d
This spring i purchased a 12' Smokercraft with a 15 hp honda. The honda is a 2014 and has seem to have lost some power lately and doesn't idle without stalling (while cold). I noticed it is taking longer to get on plane and when i have someone else in the boat i barely can get on plane. I am suspect...
