Re: Looking for remote/isolated on east side

Crow Butte on the Columbia River is a good place. It's not really isolated, but has camping facilities for your motor home or travel trailer or more rustic for your tent. However, it still has the amenities of showers and bath house, boat docks/launch, marina, good fishing, swimming areas, reasonabl...

Rock Lake

Would like to go and fish Rock Lake, but it is difficult to get there and once there, I'd like to spend some time. Therefore the need to camp. I know there are no facilities so it would be rough camping: tent, bring your own water, food, and other camp gear. I'd like to know if there are any places ...

RE:Fishing Buddies/Open Boat Availablity List

Rodrob43 I love to fish, but have the worst luck on the eastern side of the mountains. I don't know where to go or how to fish for 'em. Have a 15.5' Starcraft w/walk-thru windshield, 30hp Nissan, MinnKota trolling motor. Location : Grandview, that's halfway between the Tri-Cities and Yakima. Where ...

RE:Camping near your boat

Have you tried Crow Butte? Great place to both fish and camp. It has a swimming area, three launch ramps, a mooring area for overnighters, bath and restroom facilities and plenty of beach area to tie your boat up at night near your camp. Don't know what it costs now, haven't camped in years. Used to...

Web Cams at favorite sites

How many of you have left home with boat in tow and arrived at your favorite fishing hole and see nothing but whitecaps? I love to fish the Columbia both above and below McNary Dam. Earlier this week I looked at the weather reports at Umatilla; mild wind was reported. Locally there was maybe a 5 mp...

RE:Why do you fish?

Hi Guys, Sometimes I ask myself why I go fishing; I'm not good at it and rarely catch much. But I do love it so. I think it's the quiet and being on the water in my boat or out in a float tube. Catching fish is just a bonus. I used to hunt, never fired my rifle at a deer though. I enjoyed t...

RE:Is this boat worth it?

The $1500 mark seems real high, $1250 is better, but that has to be like new condition. I bought a 15' Starcraft with walk through windshield, 28 hp Evinrude for $2500 last fall. I thought that was too much, but I hadn't seen another like it. Put a lot of work and about another $300 in it and it's ...

Parts for Chrysler OB - 60hp

I purchased a 60 Hp Chrysler OB with hopes of making it run and replacing the underpowered OB on my 16' fiberglass boat. :thumbdown There are a number of small parts missing, however, I have a complete lower unit, carbs, flywheel, cowling, starter, power Cables. Whole engine. Don't know the conditio...

RE:Scootney

Well Medic1, did you go back to Scootney? Here it is a week later. I have caught SM bass and trout there, always small, but it's been a long time ago. Have you seen the boat launch area? It was pretty rough when I was there. My Aluminum boat takes a lot less water than the old glass boat. Take care,...

RE:hewescraft vs northriver vs smokercraft

You want a rough water, tough boat, check the specs on this one. heavy duty tough boats click on the RW series. They're not small boats, 20' is the smallest I think they make. Heavy Aluminum bottoms and bows. I've always wanted one, but don't need that kind of heavy boat. Check them out though.

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

Hi folks! Sure glad I found this site, I have read quite a few comments and fishing reports. I really would like to take an active interest in the club. I have two passions: Fishing and golf. Right now I have two boats, I just purchased a 15' Starcraft Aluminum early this fall. It needed a new floor...
