Re: No salmon fishing in PUget Sound?
Some of these "natives" are just white guys with sometimes <1/4 native blood. I personally know one guy who has flaming red hair and blue eyes and literally looks like he could have played on the set of brave heart and fishes for one of the Puget sound tribes. Maybe I should go to Norway or somewher...

Re: No salmon fishing in PUget Sound?
The Neah Bay tribe gave up some of their Chinook quota so us REC guys could fish this year. At least that's what I've read on another fishing site (bloody decks). Another thing I've read is it's mainly the Puyallup and Muckleshoot Tribes that have been everyone the big head ache. Personally I don't ...

Re: Fishing etiquette question? Passing trollers/drifters
I was there at Possession Bar early Sunday and it was a bit of a spectacle, even though I've seen it worse. I agree there are some either moronic or oblivious boaters on the water who don't heed enough distance between those drifting or trolling. To those who fish from Jon Boats. I think it's fair t...

Re: Any Sekiu Reports?
For what this is worth. Last September we caught about 8 each 22" blackmouth up at Sekiu/neah bay last year. Of course this was not during the allowed season and throw them back. We were trolling for silvers and kept hooking up on them on accident. This might be a sign of heathy blackmouth season to...

I kind of wonder what the WDFW really get paid to do. Seems like every year is just more bad news...

Re: Tribes and State look at Coho closure.
My comment states that I support a closure, but it must be a COMPLETE CLOSURE WHICH INCLUDES ALL PARTIES. Will the tribes pull the nets out? Probably not. Will WDFW mandate closures and/or severe restrictions on rec. fishermen as the tribes have recommended? Most assuredly so. Will the power broker...

Re: Tribes and State look at Coho closure.
The proposed options are a joke. Not one of them include tribal fishing. So the tribes want to close fishing to all non-tribal fisheries but they still get their cut? Of course the tribes want us to stop Salmon fishing, they want to rule supreme and have a monopoly on the market eliminating us REC g...

Re: Bass boat... Finance or pay in full?
I spent a few years myself kicking tires, researching, all that stuff. I wanted a boat that fitted exactly what I wanted to do nothing less not a whole lot more. My plan was to start fishing bigger waters and access more productive fisheries. The intent of my post was to answer any questions he may ...

Re: Bass boat... Finance or pay in full?
You should post you experience unless its too painful LOL. Well the deal is this. It's easy to spend other people's money. I just put down a lot of money for a new 2016 glass boat. And unless you have actually done this, there is more too it than meets the eye…just sayin… Sorry should have read you...

Re: Bass boat... Finance or pay in full?
So I have a tiny 10' boat I custom made into a bass boat but, now I believe it's time for a major upgrade. I want to know if most of you finance or pay for your boat in full? I know you don't usually finance toys but, it's also kind of hard to come upon 17,000-60,000 dollars. So what did most of yo...

I bet you could slay a lot of coho at Sekiu with one of those!

Re: WiggleFin Tackle - Port Angeles Coho video
I think it would be fun to stack a down rigger with one of those. Have 1 line with a flasher and spoon/hootchie, have line 2 with just the wigglefin-fly.
I'll for sure be adding these to my arsenal this season.

Re: Neah Bay…Please share your info
I'm aware of the tribal Alcohol laws. Never had any problems at Hobuck. But I don't drink any more so shouldn't be an issue. Just in case you are like my bro's and have a hard time without beer on the boat - the tribe has banned all alcohol. You cannot posses or drink any alcohol or pot when in Neah...

Right on Bodo [thumbup] Bodo and Barchaser, Thanks for the replies. I for sure want to get up there and fish. Not sure about the Swiftsure thing at this point. Probably just play things by year. But, I really want a shot at catching some sizable legal fish. I would start with one of the fishing hots...

Re: Neah Bay…Please share your info
I was kind of using the 30 MPH as a baseline. But now that I think about it…a 30 MPH boat ride would indeed make for some nice boating conditions. :salut: Anybody know how to get the Canadian license for Halibut or Salmon? I've heard rumors that for Salmon you can purchase that online. But for Halib...
