Re: Where are the Ocean run Coho?

They're still coming, starting to show in Port Angles. I fished Point no Point all morning and managed to catch a 14Lb Wild king which released to make more!

Re: Propeller advice

the -21 makes me think it's a 21" pitch. You might ask this question on Glasply.org to get a better answer. My question would be if your WOT put your motor in the preferred RPM range. If it did you could take your prop to the Prop Shop in North Lynnwood? south Everett for repair and it will look lik...

Re: Looking for tips for buying a used boat

Mine was a '99 , the saltwater series at idle only runs on two cylinders and the lag time between idle and speed drove me nuts. A big hesitation on putting power to it. I on have two 150 etec's. In 2013 I bought the motor for the Trophy and what a difference. Over the winter I went Canada and picked...

Re: Looking for tips for buying a used boat

When I bought my Trophy it had a Merc 125 saltwater 2-stroke, and I couldn't get it off the boat fast enough. Just a turd!!!!! Love my Eninrude Etec. 2-strokes are good if you get like a 2000 or later. The newer motors are more fuel efficient and nearly to no smoke. The Etec's start instantly and ha...

Re: Broke off piece of lower unit on motor

Hey Chris, What rseas is describing can be checked by putting the motor in forward gear with out the motor running. Go and try to spin the prop, it shouldn't rotate, if it does it's spun.

From the tongue to the outboard about 24'. May be longer than you have room for.

Re: Looking for tips for buying a used boat

That looks like a good deal for newer 4 strokes. I have a 18' trophy and I like very well. I'd stay away from Arima's, my son-in-law has a 17' and if you like getting wet in choppy water you will, plus they have a small fuel tank. My trophy handles rough water with very little water over the bow and...

Re: Crawfish, carp and trout, underwater trap footage

I think your video says a lot. Your bait needs to be so it can't feed the crawfish outside the trap. and put the opening facing deep water so that is the side they come to first. Good show!

Re: 2-stroke motors, huh??

Hey Chris, Don't discount the Evinrude E-tecs. They have the best toque and emissions of any outboard. I have three boats and they all have e-tecs. No oil mixing, no smoke, start very easily and very quite. That 2006 you are talking about has an oil tank. let me know if I can help. [thumbsup]

Hay Chris I'd offer you my 17' Glasply, but since you want an aluminum boat check out this one.

Re: Cleaning Fiberglass.

I used 30 sec. outdoor cleaner on my Livingston that was like that. Sprayed it on, wait 30 sec scrub it with a car brush and respite as needed. And it looked like new!
