I just read effective now we can fish with two rods with purchase of permit. There are some lakes excluded. I attached the link.

RE:Eastern Wa. Muskie lakes
I have pulled two big skies out of Silver this spring. Both were caught trolling crankbaits in about 22 ft, basically the first good breakline near shallow water.

Caught one right at 50' on Silver the day before easter. It only weighed 18 lbs, but a conservation officer I spoke with said they lose quite a bit of weight during the winter months.

Spawning question
Do the muskies stocked in Silver and Newman Lakes spawn? I read an article that said planted skis do not spawn. Just curious if anyone has info on this. Thanks

RE:Buying new boat - Have many questions
Aaron, I bought the 16.5 ft Sportsman last year from Skipper Bills. They really stand behind their products. Not to mention the boat is great for going after 'eyes on Roosevelt or getting in to some backwater duck hunting areas, close enough where I can walk the final stretch in waders anyway. I lov...

I bought a enclosed trailer, Lx10 ft, Wx6 ft, Hx6ft and 1998 Artic Cat sled from a buddy of mine. Got a great deal, will be ice fishing with the sled this weekend. Was on Eloika Monday, ice thickness I measured was 19 inches. Felt like I was back in Mn!!

Aaron, I messed that up, I meant the mighty Miss by Alma and the St. Croix for smallies around Hudson. Small world, my ex grew up in Mondovi. That is where she lives now with our two kids. I get back there two or three times a year. My twelve year old son is getting spoiled with the deer hunting in ...

Dang Aaron, I grew up in Mn, fished on the west side of cheeseville more than I can remember. Mostly Alma/St.Croix for 'eyes. Never have I ever heard a slimer, snot rocket, toothy critter, etc, called a pike whether there is a space or not minnow. Break it down barney style please. Thanks.

Ellsworth,
Ice is good to go, I was out the other day, no slush or snow on the ice. Thickness was 5 to 10 inces depending where I drilled. I caught tons of dink perch. BUT, there is definetly some trout and crappies to be caught yet.:dj:
