Nestucca River - Oregon

I'm heading to the Nestucca river in Oregon this Friday through Sunday for steelhead. Thought I'd check in to see if anyone has ever fished this river and knows anything about it.

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014

Call it however you want but arguing on a forum about how many centimeters it was below or above the water is stupid. I think its called the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia or something like that Easy... settle down. Sorry you see this as an argument. I see it as just some friendly bantering back and...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014

Nope. Backside is touching water and the rule says may not be "totally" removed. Or if you like i could say i caught it in russia or something. Either way you must have better things to worry about Look I'm just calling it like I see it... Those are nice fish. You should post the "Hot Spot" locatio...

Hmmm.... That last photo of you hanging over the boat? Sorry Danny, good try but that fish is clearly out of the water. Your only claim now could be that you were not in WA.

Danny I didn't think it was legal to pull that fish out of the water if it was a C&L. Am I missing something here?

Re: A couple lessons learned

Another great read is "Steelhead Fishing Essentials" by Marc Davis. It also includes a very well done DVD all for $29! I am not a "reader" and I could not put this book down and went straight into the DVD.

Has anyone heard anything more on this. Is PUD still going forward with this dam?

Re: New to Steelhead and looking for guidance.

The only reason I suggested it was because I got my answer. I've been on other forms (Mini Cooper forms [thumbup]) where they liked to tidy up by removing posts that had been answered or had no action on them for some time. Didn't know if it was like that here or not. Just a suggestion. :)

you need to contact whoever you bought these items from... they normally insure there stuff and they or fedex will pay to get your stuff... I have had stuff from both fedex and UPS go missing off my front porch... now they are told to put any packages at backdoor... agreed, the issue becomes who ta...

Re: Stolen: Simms G3 Guide Stockingfoot Waders

Keep an eye on craigslist and not just in the for sale posts. A lot of thieves will post under the barder section looking to trade the items they steal so thy have a none stollen item to sale. I'm always on there so I'll keep an eye open.

Re: Community break in camera crew

I propose that we all get together and invest in security cameras for our fishing spots that are prone to break ins. We will form a group, and post signs informing tweakers of the fact that they are being filmed, and when a break-in does occur, we'll have a phone number for the person in charge of ...

Re: I NEED A STEELHEAD!!!!

At first I thought it would be a good idea to try and figure out on my own the whole "Steelhead" thing as well as posting a thread here asking if anyone was willing to allow my "tag along" one day on the river in hopes of picking up some tips. I soon came to the conclusion that I would be much bette...

Re: New Tradition - Chrome Friday

I was crazy enough to arrive at Cabela's at 4:45 and stand in line. It was a total mad house... Thousands of people and after getting into the store and finding my deals I stood in the checkout line for over an hour. Even with that I'm glad I did cause I saved over $100 and got some really nice fish...

New to Steelhead and looking for guidance.

Well I've been living here in the city of Snohomish for 6 years now and finaly, at the tail end of coho season (end of Oct), I jumped into the fishing scene. All I can say is..... WOW WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG AND NOW I'M HOOKED (pun intended). My poor wife hasn't seen me on the weekends since then and n...

Re: First Coho Season

This is my fist season as well and just started 3weeks ago. I guess I've been very lucky cause I've brought home (3) 10lb silvers thus far. I've been fishing in only one spot and that's on the west bank of the snohomish river under the 522 bridge. I don't congregate with all of the other anglers but...

Re: Silver Season Over?

Hit the banks of the snohomish at the 522 bridge yesterday around 2pm. Only a few anglers out with me. landed a 10lb silver within 20 min. fished till 4:30 and called it a good day!
