RE:Green Lake, Seattle-Tips needed!

I fished Green Lake today and ended up with 6 "rock bass" and two sculpin, plus a lot of missed strikes, and one HUGE fish that ripped drag, fought like a largemouth, and spit the hook. All caught on plastics (Berkely Gulp). Are these really rock bass? I've never caught one before, but they were all...

RE:Green Lake, Seattle-Tips needed!

Thanks for the info. I just looked up Bitter, looks nice, not too far away from my locale. How is the bank access? From Google Maps, it looked like much of the shore is private, and I'm bank-bound for the day. Alternatively, I noticed the Gas Works Park is nearby too, and I've heard you can get smal...

Green Lake, Seattle-Tips needed!

Hey everyone,

I'll be at Green Lake this next week, traveling through the area. I'm interested in fishing for bass, and general tips?

I do a little carp fishing on the side, I've heard Green has loads of carp, anywhere I should focus on in the lake? Thanks!

Surfperch are plentiful, I've caught a few, but you have to be super careful about the current and riptides.

RE:Ridgefield, bass/ scappoose bay

Forum is not very good for info in the SW WA area, sorry bud. If you are referring to Lake River, then stick with it and fish it a lot. I have only seen one bass caught there, but have heard of many larger ones. It is a tough place to figure out, mostly because there isn't much info about it. You bo...

RE:klineline pond

Klineline gets hit super hard by loads of worm-n-powerbait dunking anglers. The few bass that are there are extremely line shy. I have caught some little guys there, but nothing over 6 inches, lol.

No one? No SW Washington anglers on the board that have ever fished this area?

Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge question...

Has anyone here fished the many ponds and sloughs in the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge, or nearby locations (Lake River or Mud L.)? I plan on fishing it soon, was wondering what experiences people have had out there, or heard about that place from other anglers. Thanks in advance!:)

Think of this way: One rod for 'bait and wait' (catifsh, carp, stocker trout), the other rod you can be actively hunting predator fish with lures (bass, sunfish, etc). It's much more fun that way, lets you target multiple species plus increase your hookup odds too!

It's been announced for a quite sometime now, also, the guy who caught it as an interesting blog:

It's cool to see how different bass fishing is in Japan than in the US, really cool culture. Uber props to Manabu Kurita for his dope catch.

Help a bass dude catch his first Steelhead...

Hey guys, Like the topic subject says, I'm a bass guy that wants to catch a steelhead. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've got some free time these next couple weeks and will try to hit a certain stream as often as possible until I hook up. I've never caught a steelhead before, saw a guy wit...

RE:Secret bass lakes

Is this the place you are all talking about? http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/3824/pondsbs5.th.gif I am glad I'm not the only person that was crazy enough to think about fishing that spot. I think when it heats up I'll grow enough balls to fish there. I think it'll be easiest to go on the I-5 N si...
