RE:Perch Recipes?
Cheapest beer you can find and Krusteaze. Make the batter kind of thin. Pat the fillets dry then dip in beer-batter and fry. A little tarter sauce on the side and enjoy! It doesn't get much simpler than that.

RE:Perch time
I'm a northender, Lake city area. Sounds like the truth stretcher is working just fine! I got a little excited because I was browsing the king county snapshots page awhile back and saw some pics of the southend of the lake back when the Black river was the outlet and there were fishing and hunting r...

RE:Perch time
3 lb perch? WOW! And I thought my honey hole with 13-14-15 inch perch was good. I might have to go down to the U-dub. To bad you can't eat the crispy fried perch, my favorite is beer-batter. I think you are on to something with the high lake level and cooler water. All the freshwater fishing I've do...

RE:WALLEYE
Fished the south end of the Bank last weekend. We got a lot of under legal fish. Only one keeper to about every 10 in the boat. Last year we caught a lot of just under size, so we thought there would be a lot of legal and bigger fish this year. Where are they?

RE:Perch time
Seems to me the perch have been late this year. I'm usually into them in late May, I haven't caught any at my favorite spot until 2 weeks ago. What's up with that?

RE:Anything bad happen to you on Friday the 13th?
Friday the 13th has been pretty good to me. My divorce was final on a Friday the 13th, and this last one was a travel day to Maui. No fishing, but a great week spent with my family. Next time I go I'm hitting Long's or Walmart first thing for a rod and reel. It was killing me to sit on the lanai eve...

RE:4 dollars a gallon...
What get's me is the politicians in Seattle and King county who are trying to force people out their cars when there is no real alternative to the commute in place. I tried the Metro trip planner and discovered it would ADD 2 1/2 hours per day to my commute. That's a lot of wasted fishing time!

RE:Banks Lake tips?
I got my first walleye just north of the mid lake launch (north of million dollar mile), Seemed to be a hot spot as there were a lot of people there. Also had success with smallmouth at the bridge under Martin? falls, near the entrance to Steamboat Rock state park. I was bank fishing, but if you tak...
