Olympic Peninsula Grouse
Anybody know some good public ground to go to for grouse on the Olympic Peninsula? I don't want to steal people's honeyhole, just some recommended forest roads to drive down, etc. I took the Palo Alto road into the Olympic Nat'l forest on labor day and only saw one about 150 yds away.

Re: STOLEN BOAT MOTOR
It was on a 12' zodiac, which I normally kept in the backyard. It was in the driveway because I've been using it all summer (quicker to hook up). In the backyard it was hard to see from the street, so I judged not to get insurance since all in all it was only worth about $2500. I guess if their pare...

STOLEN BOAT MOTOR
I found out today that my 2009 Mercury 9.9 tiller outboard was stolen. If you come across a motor with Serial # OR302239 call the police. I live in Bremerton so I assume if someone tries to sell it, it will be in the Kitsap or Mason county area.

Re: Home made Fish Box Cooler?
I just use mine to hold the anchor line. The sun on the diamond plate is too much to deal with. I never put a fish in there, I'm not really sure who thought it would be a good idea........ On another note you could always buy some ABS sheet and make your own. Very easy to work with and it glues, 10...

Re: Point No Point
I think I'm gonna head up to PNP the first weekend in August and try my luck. Never done this before, so some pink buzzbombs and some pink hoochies to start off? What else works well? If you're there and you see a guy that looks like he has no idea what he's doing... that's probably me I guess I'll ...

Re: Boat Purchase in the Near Future...Suggestions Needed
I'd start looking on boattrader.com, or go look at new boats see what features you like/don't like and then look for a used one. But with a family of four yeah I think you'd want something in the 17'5"-20" range. Keep in mind the wet weight of the boat (gas weighs 6.1 lbs per gallon, I googled it), ...

Re: The Little Drifter That Will.
That is really cool, I don't think I would have ever thought about applying bed liner to the bottom of a boat. But it makes sense now that I think about it.

Re: how are dogfish categorized in the regs?
To keep the dog fish or release the dog fish... that is the question. It makes sense that you could gut the thing right there and not worry about the urine. Should take less time too.

Re: New to area. Looking for panfish/walleye
For where I would say Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish are your best bet. Look on the reports page see where is hitting good, use the Lakes at the top inbetween community and rivers. You can look at what lakes are in King County, Snohomish County (to the north of you), and Pierce County (to the So...

FishingD welcome to WA, I'm from Sioux Falls SD and I love it out there (I don't have to shovel rain, and there is a wide assortment of fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and ATVing),like Anglin said there isn't much from shore around here. Most of the lakes this side of the mountains have housing d...

Re: pier/surf for salmon this weekend?
I've never salmon fished before, and am just starting to get into saltwater as a whole. I would think Dungeness Spit might work. You are at least getting away from land that way, I'm not sure how soon the bottom drops off of there though.

Re: Bank access marine area 10 Sinclair Inlet
Gorst is definitely a mud pit at low tide. In theory (I've never seen it done nor tried it myself) you could park your car on the shoulder of Hwy 304, hop across the train tracks, and fish from the northern shore next to Bremerton. I've seen people park their cars there to watch the fireworks on The...
