Re: Galvanic Corrosion

you didn't say if your boat was fiberglass or aluminum. I had a "hot" boat, aluminum, and really had a problem with galvanic corrosion. It was two unterminated ends up by the drivers side that were less than an inch apart. That "juice" was enough to cause corrosion. Until we figured out the problem ...

I wonder why Ephrata lake is on the list. As I understand it, Ephrata Lake is closed to both hunting and fishing.

I'd say 12 inches is big and 14 and over is trophy.

Re: Help with Moses lk plz

If'n it was me I'd go to either of the two inlets, Crab Creek (Alder Fill) or up north by Rocky Ford Creek. I'd think any walleye of any size would be in either pre-spawn or spawning activity.

Crab Creek's closest launch is the Cascade Valley and the best launch for Rocky Ford is Connelly Park.

Usually those "refunds" are the settlements in a class action suit. This appears to be the same as what VW did with their emissions.

Just thought first timers should know about the hook restriction.

Mike, thanks for making the report available to the members. Mike has already sent me a copy.

I believe there is a maximum size hook restriction for this area. People might check up on this.

I happened upon his obituary this morning while reading the Spokane paper. Turned out he and I were on Guam at the same time in 1969. He was on the Air Force Base and I was down at the Naval Air Squadron base.

It wasn't me. I'm waiting for open lakes so I can boat and fish chironomids. I'm busy now with a part time job at the Moses Lake Sportsman's Warehouse.

I can give current conditions on local basin lakes. I fish both Quincy and Burke. Both are iced over right now but the local Martha Lake is open. It is fishable from shore with a fly rod.

Mowich is a drive to lake on the north side of Rainier. It's in the park but probably not open until June or so.

Quincy and Burke are about 30-40 miles east of Wenatchee. Both good fishing and have bank fishing areas.

Re: Sonar interpretation?

You are more likely to see things like that hole on downview, but it all depends on the size of the hole vrs the beam widths on downview. Its a little more complex than it might seem. And yes, you will see a creek bed more easily if you hit it at 90 degrees, but again - size matters [woot] :) Im ab...

Re: Sonar interpretation?

What would 2D sonar show this as? In my crude drawings above, the right side is supposed to be the screen on your plotter. In both cases, the bottom would just be a straight line across the screen assuming the boat was either not moving, or was following a constant depth. In this next screen shot, ...

Re: Sonar interpretation?

Here are a couple of drawings to illustrate this. In the first one, imagine you are trolling along parallel to a shore line with a steep drop off to your left. Lets say your beams cone hits the bottom on the right side at a depth of 15 ft. On the left side, it hits at 30 ft and there is a fish sitt...
