Re: Large spinnerbaits for tigers
Musky frenzy makes a triple bladed inline that's long as a 10 but is super easy to rip through the water with triple #8 blades on it. Check those out..

Re: Large spinnerbaits for tigers
Heyah mg, I still have some of the best luck with those musky things. Purple, red and black. Also been throwing suicide baits, double 8's with tinsel. Never got to much into the 10's. Though I've gotten a couple bigger reels lately, higher speed reels to pull those along. I've tried to get away from...

Re: East side tiger tournament, Spring 2016???
Hey guy, you've gotten a lot done out there regarding the tigers. The signs, the size limit. Maybe you can get the word out? Eh? Not sure if 60 is active anymore. Website is gone. I still hand out muskie programflyers and difference between brochures. It has paid off on Tapps. Still non conforming a...

New limit signs
Saw recently that the state had some new size limit signs made. When will they be placed at the kiosk at Allen York's Park? Also just a side note. I've heard of reports of a couple of way over 50" muskies caught at Mayfield lake. Any truth to these reports. Supposedly they have been taken to Mayfiel...

Re: East side tiger tournament, Spring 2016???
Well keep at it. Mr.osborne and Mr.Divens are friends of the tigers. So check with them directly. Everyone says education is the key. People like signs. So, get some out there. Good luck out there!

Re: East side tiger tournament, Spring 2016???
Looks like you all had a good day..about the tiger in the grass..is there any signage out there? The kiosk was pretty barren last year. Maybe the muskie club can ask the department of fisheries to get some more out there? And many place a couple posts down by the water and on the dock? Killing and l...

Re: Early season go-to lures?
I told you guy, the go to is a bratwurst. Quick strike set. Johnsonville work the best. A treble through the eyes and another in the side. The side one allows the scent to hit the water. The 6" ones work best. That's the go to bait. Another is bucher depth raiders. Put my p.b. from tapps a 47" beast...

Re: tigers
And just to finish, in my nearly 40 years of musky fishing, chasing, reading or talking to any other muskie guy about tiger or true muskies, I have never, ever, heard of any one single person ever catching a tiger and saying that tiger, girl she was full of eggs or he was filled with that white stuf...

Re: Fall Musky Fishing
Esox, Nope, not trolling much this year at all. Tapps is pretty good. But with the water being low for so long then the heat made the water temps raise pretty quickly it wasnt on my radar here. Buuuut, with the lake only being drawn down 2 feet I may get my posterior out there in December through Ma...

Re: tigers
whooaaa! Dougie, you are defiantely pushing the reproduction of tigers theory ideology..good luck trying to dig your self out of that one..the only way it would be possible is if you had muskies and northerns in the same body of water. Unless Osborne, Divens and Boulding made a new line of hybrids t...

Re: Heading to curlew for tiger muskie

He was throwing those 1 lb sponges down at Mayfield..for such a little guy he could chuck those things for days. Different fishery back in Wisconsin..super serious guys..big baits always produced big fish ba...

Re: Heading to curlew for tiger muskie
okay..downsize to mag dawgs then. C'mon real musky fishermen throw dawgs! I dont throw pounders..bad shoulder..but they work..mags,econo,double dawgs and reg dawgs do the job as well. Something completely different than 6" swim baits and small bucks and the big girls love em'! I read somewhere where...
