Re: Best all around boat for 20k
I'd spend $100 to save $8000...Even if you don't want THIS particular boat, there are quite a few similar used boats on boattrader.com that are closer and look to be reasonable deals. http://tolimages.traderonline.com/img/6/plcnad/8192582/356732_1.jpg http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2008-Weldcraft...

Nixon's over in Walla Walla are some really REALLY nice guys. You can get a good deal + lower sales tax on the other side of the mountains.

Are you in the used market? Re: 4 Stroke or 2 Stroke, which is more fuel efficient?
Horse power is horse power regardless of whether it's a two, four stroke, normal or pumped. Makes no difference how it's made. I would venture to say any big bull dozer you point at is super charged and turbocharged, yet you won't see them at a drag strip anytime soon. It's just a measure. This is ...

Having been the "first to the hole" tourney bass guy for a lot of years with a Bullet 21XDC(arguably one of the fastest bassers on the water 100mph+ EASY)From Nixon's in Walla Walla with both Merc 300 Pro XS and massaged offshore Yami VMax power at one time, all I can say is unless you are regularly...

Icicle is open for springers and the hatchery is right there. There is also good bank access as well. Nate and I were discussing it in this thread http://www.washingtonlakes.com/forum/vi ... 15&t=18014" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

^ +1 I've had good luck in previous years on the Icicle, and as Nate said bank access is a plus. With it being the week after memorial day it shouldn't be too crowded.

Re: taking my girlfriends 8yr old niece fishing for her 1st
I'd probably just go the powerbait route with a first timer, or bobber + worm(is she squeamish)/marshmallows. The bobber route would probably make detecting the strike easier for her. If she is pretty dextrous I would go with a regular spinning reel over a closed faced 'Zebco' style especially if yo...

Re: WDFW notifying crawfish sellers not to ship live crawfis
Well when you are trying to do a crawfish boil for 30 people that's a little beyond what most people are going to be able to catch on their own. I mean I've had the huge plastic net sacks that 50lbs of onions/potatoes come in sent air freight same day from Louisiana. I know that places like Chuck's ...

Re: WDFW notifying crawfish sellers not to ship live crawfis
I guess that means no sacks for the boil next Mardi Gras. I didn't even know I've called my family in Louisiana and had 'em shipped live cargo on American Airlines (my cousin is an attendant and can fly cargo for free) for years and just gone and picked them up at the airport.

Re: When/Where.. to fish swim baits??
I rig most of mine through the 'side' of the swim bait instead of the 'back', so that if the swimbait had fins like a real fish it would come out of the side of the bait by the pectoral fin area and then just skim bury the point in the plastic to make it weedless. Not like this http://www.swimbait.c...

Re: I-82 ponds crappie and blue gill channel cats
Pond 4 and Buena pond (Pond 6) are going to be the best for both access and fishing in general. Historically I can say that crappie and bluegill are definitely going to be the secondary fish here because they do a lot of trout stocking for the size of the ponds. I can tell you there are 10+lb cats i...

Re: New Seafood Labeling Law
When I was talking about DNA testing I was referring to seafood in general, not salmon particularly. Most of the fraud is people selling fish like Orange Roughy as Chilean Sea Bass etc. I posted a link to the study before about something like 80% of the seafood sold being misrepresented. Though it d...

Until they require DNA testing it's all pretty pointless once the head is off and its in some sort of fillet.
