Re: Snohomish river
We need a little rain, just a little, so the fish move into the system but not all the way up. Looks like September will be a great month!

Re: Kayak point
I was there on the 7th. There is a sign on the pier that says you cannot overhead cast, so fishing from the pier is useless. We did not see any fish, just a bunch of crab.

Spring break fishing trip!!! Where do I go?
I live in Monroe. My son and I are planning to do some fishing next week, I am debating a day on the Sol Duc trying to catch a few springers, but that is not a sure fire way to catch fish. If you just wanted to go catch a CRAP LOAD of fish in April within reasonable distance from me - where would yo...

How do I fish for Silvers with all these Pinks in the River?
Hey Y'all,
If I want to target silvers to I throw a bait that the pinks would never take? I have heard that is doesn't matter, but I wanted to get the expert opinion. How do I target silvers in the midst of a ton of pinks?

A big THANK YOU for all the help!!!
I just wanted to say thanks to all of the fellow WaLakers out there that have helped me become a proficient fisherman. I really enjoy the forum and will keep posting reports and watching the forums. My son caught more fish than he knows what to do with today, all because of this site. Thanks! [biggr...

Where are all the Pinks that are supposed to be in the Snoho
Guys - Anybody have any thoughts on the quality of the August 1st opener? It seems like there are no pinks in the Edmonds/Mukilteo/Everett Area (Area 9) that is open for fishing. If they aren't in the salt yet, how are they going to be in the river in 5 days?

Where to fish tomorrow in North Sound
I have 4 hours free tomorrow the 5th to try and get some fishing in. I am debating between the Skykomish in Monroe, the Skykomish in Sultan and the Edmonds Pier. Where do you think I will be more likely to get into some fish? I am shore bound. Thanks for the help?

I want my son to catch a Salmon!!!
Alright guys! This is getting nuts! I have been fishing 26 times, 20 of them with my son. We have had 1 fish on for 30 seconds before it shook off. 0 for 26!!! I live in South Everett. I have done most of my fishing off of the Airport RD, WDFW water access site, Rotary Park and Langus Park area. Can...

Re: Snohomish River Lowell Coho
I have seen them jumping. I was out yesterday afternoon. I actually had one on the line for about 10 seconds before it spit the hook. The river is muddy and high, but the fish are still there.

Thanks for the support guys! I have tried all of the methods mentioned above. We have been fishing Thomas Eddy watching all of those fish jump and roll around us.

These fish are driving me CRAZY!!!
BACK STORY: I grew up fishing bass and trout in Southern Calif and Ellensburg. Once in a while I was fortunate enough to go deep sea in So Cal. As you can see, I don't have a lot of salmon experience. I have an 8 year old that LOVES to fish. We were introduced to salmon last year and had a blast cat...

Re: How do the fish get in the Snohomish?
If you look at the aerial photos on Google maps, etc. You will notice that asside from the mainstem the second most significant channel entering the system is the drainage coming from Steamboat Slough, although it is pertinent to note that the main stem channel (inside Jetty Island, and East from t...

Re: How do the fish get in the Snohomish?
I've seen plenty of folks fishing the pier that's just down stream from boat ramp in Langus Park. It's on Smith Isl if you didn't know. That isn't open till Saturday, the river, per the regs, starts at the Burlington Northern RR bridge. I am looking for the best place to fish that is in the saltwat...

You are correct! I guess that is why I enjoy teaching my kids to fish, maybe they will learn a little patience.

How do the fish get in the Snohomish?
Just a quick question from someone trying to find a place to catch a coho this week in the Everett Area. Do the salmon come from the south and enter the river from the east side of jetty island or do they come from the north and enter from the west side of Jetty Island? If they enter from the east s...

I went down on Friday morning with my son. I ended up getting a hit, but the fish got off. It was very slow. It is more of an exercise in patience than a fishing experience!
