Sol Duc help needed
I am getting ready to head out on the annual family camping trip this weekend and plan to camp at Sol Duc Campground (about one mile from Sol Duc Falls). Any recommendations on where to fish the river for some steelies? I am only familiar with the Puke and Nisqually so this will be my first adventur...

RE:Spawning or not?
I am just trying to figure out a pattern. I was fishing a pre-spawn pattern with not too much luck. I just was not looking hard enough for beds so I am not too sure if the spawn is on. I always practice catch and release so no worries on a caught bedded bass. She will be able to return to her bed in...

Spawning or not?
Just got back from being in the desert for one year and have been out fishing twice. I have managed to get a 1.5 lb LM on a crankbait. I can not tell if the spawn has already happened or not. I see some beds that look a little old with no fish on them and water temps have been 60-61 degrees. I was t...

RE:winter steelhead season starts the 1st
OK folks, I get to leave the desert for some much needed R&R soon. Here is the situation: I will be home for the first two weeks of January and would like to get an opportunity for a steelhead. Where is the best place to go during those two weeks? I am in Thurston county and not looking to travel to...

RE:My Bass Season In review ! What did you learn !
Well I have learned that you can not catch fish in the desert (been in Kuwait for 6 months) and as each day passes by here I yearn to get back on the water. So keep the posts coming as I am fishing vicariously through all of you. My goals for next year will be vast. Will be home right after the spaw...

If you are down in Austin again, Lake Belton is a better lake. It is only about 40 minutes away if I remember correctly.

RE:early pond bass?
All of the above work, however I prefer a suspending jerk bait (Lucky Craft or Strike King Wild Shiner). The trick is to fish them along points or drop offs. On this little pond you will more than like have contour changes rather than points. The trick is slow your retrieve. Jerk count to 5, jerk ag...

BMD, I have seen that boat as well however my boat is blue with the carpet to match. As soon as I get it uncovered I will take a few pics and post them. I do fish St Clair often as well as American and Scequalichew on Fort Lewis. Have to get it oput this weekend to get the Stabil running through the...

RE:Potential Boat Project?
You absolutely can convert a V-bottom jon boat into a bassboat. I have converted my 14' v-bottom boat into a bassboat last year and have even taken it out on Banks Lake and works great. I built a platform on the front and back as well as built storage into the front deck. I carpeted it myself and I ...

Get with danielt, he makes them and are great. I have had success with a few of his around sumberged wood in American Lake as well as St Clair.

I was looking more for the Puyallup, we were trying to figure out if they had the nets in since we had very limited hook ups.

New to salmon fishing, and like it. Where do I find the net schedules from the reservations. I haven't the foggiest where to look.

I am interested but need to be a backseat. I do not have a livewell on my boat, so tournament fishing is a little tough right now. Let me know if anyone needs a 2nd and i am in.

I use many sites, but one to check out is www.landbigfish.com
They have numerous small tackle shops associated with them and I have been able to get many backorderd items rather quickly through them.

RE:Comfort baits?
Hey BBD what's up, I have mixed it up at times and have thrown it (zoom finess worm) weightless under docks at Lake Norman (Back in NC) and managed to catch a limit of 2lbers. I have black and red flaked watermelon ones as well and seem to work fine also. I will also rig it with a small spot remover...

RE:Comfort baits?
For me it is a Zoom finesse worm (green pumpkin) dipped in Spike it on a 3/16oz bullet weight pegged. It never fails to pull in a least one fish every time out. You get a lot of smaller bass but the occasional 3lber grabs hold. I also use it to follow up a short strike on top water.
